@MrUnonothin it's really really slight, but Dry Bones is the fastest since he is lightest, and the hopping is quicker. So it helps, but only maybe .1 or .2. The vehicle is what's really important, use either Egg1, Dry Bomber, ROB-BLS, Poltergust, or any of the standards of the same character (except standard Luigi). The others aren't that good at snaking.

Nice time, although I believe using Yoshi and Dry Bones are faster characters to use, at least that's what the Player's Page is.
I need to find this game again.
