There's a need for these retribution movies now more than ever with 911 haunting us, widespread violence that makes the real NYC look like Lake Woebegone. :)
I'll do it as a personal message to you in your channel, Ok? There is one long "aria" by a cop admonishing the guy who want to lead some vigilantes. :) Give me some time. The disc I had the screenplay on won't play. But I have several hard copy scripts, "the Hollywood way." With their bullshit "Registered with Screen Guild." As if that kept it from being stolen by some Hollyweird weasel. HA! Still a damn good story. Like S.E. Hinton. I haven't found a similar story motif yet on this twist. :)
@ghostwhiskey You are good at editing. I notice that the punches in the movies aren't convincing. That's ok by me. They are like a setup for the shooting, so the punches don't upstage the shooting. :)
@He101A Right on, brother! DW1 was the template for the other DWs. Had a lot of east coast stage actors and/or voice work/video actors. Wm Redfield, Stephen Elliott and Ed Grover do it all. Hank Garrett, the mailman killer, always played a heavy. He has since passed away.
I just noticed it was originally a novel. Geez, which I'd written that. :)
@Glinkaism1 the book is by far the best,i think the first movie is the only really good one but thats just my opinion. there was a sequel to the book which was made into the film "death sentence",a truly underrated vigilante movie and maybe the best one since the first death wish. i like that they neither glorify nor demonise vigilantism. well, maybe a little but they certainly dont advocate it,especially in "sentence"
@ghostwhiskey Thanks, gw, for your intel. I've never heard of "Death Sentence." Is it posted here on youtube? Cheers! I wrote a screenplay about vigilantism some years ago. Was going to turn it into a novel but never got around to it. Actually, screenplays are outlines for novels. Add some more background, internal thoughts and descriptions and you've got a novel. Sort of S.E. Hinton-ish novel.
What about the pimp guy in the police station on the first movie? "Have you found my dog? He's vital to my income, he paints such marvellous paintings with his paws.." XD
excellent...thnx 4 uploading...u know this has always been my favorite series....i got them all in DVD,,,ur the man!!!!

Another classic line from Death Wish 5.
Bronson is asked: "Guns make you nervous?"
Bronson's reply: "Guns have their uses. Idiots, with guns, make me nervous."

If we all had guns there would be a lot less violence because everybody would be polite to avoid getting shot.
