  • Still my favorite starship design.

  • Wait, isn't the Lexington the Prototype for a new breed of Battlecruiser during Klingon Academy?? :S

  • very nice.... anyone else wonder why they rarely ever show a sun in episodes and movies in space? We know there's one that every planet rotates around.... it's not like it has to be seen taking up a large part of any visual shot.

  • I believe once the Enterprise b was launched it was the unofficial death knell of the constitution class and they were mothballed in favor of the excelsior class and the later galaxy class. I agree with Isantop. The refit constitution class will always be my favorite.

  • Always wondered why you don't see any constitution-class starships around Picard's time but you do see old Soyuz, Miranda and Oberth class ships!?

  • I think the Constitution Refit is my second favourite of the older ships. You've done a beautiful capture of her here! Great job!

  • My friend your music was cooler!

  • Great visuals but man I sure miss the warp-explosion at the end of the warp effect.

  • she's a beautiful ship. Hope they'll be done with the series or at least the first show soon. At least the lexington got to see her retirement unlike poor 1701. :(

  • I disagree. Yeah, it broke my heart when the E was self-destructed. But it beat her being captured and plundered by Kruge and his crew, or torn apart in a scrap yard.

She went down in battle. Nothing ignoble about that.

  • Congratulations!! fom Brazil!!! very very well done!!! " U.S.S Lextington is ready to fly to the stars.... and beyond...

  • Looks good. Only nitpick is that I don't think the warp nacelle support pylons are the proper thickness. Yours look more based on the AMT model kit (thinner), than the filming model.

  • I have always been a fan of the refit-Constitution Class starship. It's a great ship that in many ways was under appreciated.

  • I agree, in my opinion it was the full realization of the Constitution Class. It effectively brought Matt Jefferies classic ship into the post Star Wars era of sci-fi spaceship design, and is as well proportioned as any Enterprise to come along since.

  • Amen both of those comments. Beauty in motion.

  • @DanJ30 -

And the footage of the ship in TMP and WOK was excellent too.

  • Nice looking ship.

  • WOW--Very well done!

  • Very Nice job there. I love that the "original" TMP warp jump was kept. If you guys wanted this released on BCF? Let me know.

  • E-mail me about that... would like to get it posted there.

  • one question

is this model how much polygon?

  • Not sure but it's not that big.

  • What Computer configeration are you using to do that brilliant CGI animation? 5 Stars from me :)

  • Its either Lightwave or Autodesk #DS MAX.

  • That was totally awsome. We're not worthy...We're not worthy!

  • Standing ovation! I still think that the refit-Constitution or Enterprise-Class starships were the most elegant design.

  • Yeah. I'd like to see one blow up that ugly Edsel-prise that JJ Abrams did!

I gotta say the production values of TMP blow Abram's Trek out of the water. I actually defend "Star Trek: The Motion Picture Director's Edition" despite its flaws.

  • Whoa. Best CG ships ever. Probably even better than the actual films! Wicked warp!

  • Absolutely amazing renderings!! What are you using to model the starships if I may ask?

  • Lightwave and 3D Studio Max

  • Awesome job. It also reminds me of why I love the refitted Constitution-class starship so much, with its elegant, sleek lines and functionality.

  • Great work! You're CG quality is rivaling all of Paramount's series work... I hope your other production values are as high. I'm very interested in seeing the finished product.

  • Awesome guys,,looking forward to seeing it

  • Great stuff! The warp effect is extremely impressive!!!

  • really nice renderings 10/10 :)

  • Justin told me he wanted a ST4 type warp effect, if it was really TMP, I coulda did that simple as that, for you.

  • It was TMP; Wil Jaspers did that all in Max.

  • Unbelievable graphics! Great!

  • not bad at all!

  • Hi J. Looks great! We maybe able to do the Mini-sode after all on Appearances. :)

    T'Moya

  • You bet. ;)

  • Very Nice.

  • Holy crap. . . that looks insanely nice, You better be working somewhere awesome, or be getting a good job really, really soon =)
