As we all know Isaac is everybody in the game. ??? is him from after this ending of course.... but at the character selection screen it asks "Who am I?" i think its referencing this ending or something. Like Isaac doesnt know who he is anymore.... and yes this shows exactly how desensitized i am that a psychological thing like this is more darker to me than crying on your disfigured infant enemies to kill them.
@Randym32898 can happen at a random as i entered sheol in my 4th playthrough, it depends on how much life you have when you kill the heart, i had 3 hearts maximum and they were ful when i killed the heart and i was allowed to enter. the more hearts you carry (maximum) the less chance of being able to enter, unfortunately
@Randym32898 10 times to permanetly unlock Sheol [the area] then you have to kill Satan once to fully beat the game. Sheol can happen on any playthrough, at any time, but it depends on the variable on how many satan rooms you've entered. A good chance to get into satan rooms is to gain Satanic itesm and to kill beggars, as well as not taking damage within the level. Enter enough of them in one playthrough and you can get to him easily.
Beat satan today for the first time (with dead/blue Isaac too...(I'm surprised as hell, myself). My load out was Dr. Fetus, the upgrade that turns bombs into mr. booms, and the homing bomb upgrade. Made Satan's last two forms a breeze.
Quick question though, do you get a different item depending on which character kills Satan? cause I unlocked the forget-me-not item but not mom's knife.
Lol, just beat the devil 5 minutes ago... played as cain, had the snake-travelling-tears, moms eye, something that made my tears larger, do more dmg and have more knockback (could have been an odd mushroom, cant remember), and brther bobby, but i had 6hp and a full health pill. and i spawned relatively close to him, but i used a shovel
You know what? I got to satan, I was ONE HIT (NO JOKE!) from killing him and then he stomped me and I died....I was so freaking shaken by it that I stopped playing for 3 days, and it really calmed me down (I had the matyr thorn, countless bags of blood, the pact and the fallen and the mark, (can't name anymore)) from gamer's obsession (I wish I got the wafer....), well, I guess it's time to drink soda and go on hyperdrive to FINALLY beat satan.. (I'mma try the combo with brimstone!)!
@MoonsMalak The laser is the Brimstone item which needs time to charge up in order to fire, but i also had the chocolate milk which gets rid of the charge up time.
@pancakes1019 I don't know about you, but the ONLY way I can make it this far is with the Brimstone. The only time I made it to Sheol without it, I had my ass handed to me after like 4 rooms.
Also, how are you able to charge your Brimstone so fast?
Satan is the true final boss.
