Только сейчас понимаю - это была уникальная женщина и педагог. Даже не помню как ее зовут, но вероятно азы прекрасного мне привила именно она. I think you are right it is one of these perfect musical moments as in Faure's Requiem, Bach's Magnicat, Mozart's grande Messe en C, and many others that you feel paradise might actually exist and that the gates are opening in front of your eyes. Incredibly spiritual and deeply emotional and perfectly beautiful.

"Amen" was really slow. The tempo marking for that is "presto assai". This is more allegro moderato.

It was the year 1943 I think el conductor Pedro Valenti Costa organizo un coro Polifonico con los ninios del Patronato de la Infancia del cual yo fui un integrante y preparamos el Stabat Mater de Pergolesi; debutamos en radio Splendid con la orquesta de cuerdas del Teatro colon y una soprano! I wonder if there is a record of that! I've got a photo of that choir!

Katia et Lucia, le duo de divas le plus réussi de toute l'histoire du chant! Le cruel destin nous a beaucoup trop tôt repris la magnifique et généreuse chanteuse qu'était Lucia Valentini-Terrani. Ce duo final est une pure merveille, merci infiniment.

I fell in love with this rendition too (thanks to the poster of this video). I decided to chase a CD of it but unfortunately, a CD of this performance does not exist. However, I've managed to order a CD of Stabat Mater conducted by Claudio Abbado and featuring Lucia. I'm sure the soprano who isn't Katia will still be very nice :)
