  • Could ya talk louder

  • Interesting clip, I was recently reading about something similar on thephotographyclinic (.) com

  • Thank you to let us know about how to remplace or install the lent face down a really important think. But I order my camera D90 since sep-20th and the delivery on ups are sucks!, the make a mistake twice to the same ad, and I hope finally get my damm D90 , also this is going to be to mi wife and I are first professional camera. : )

  • thanks for the great vid and advice!! Theres a new Nikon coming out soon to replace the D90!!! Anyways keep the great vids coming!!

  • Thank you for the nice video :) In your age? Bah! I'm sure that many more cameras will pass from your hands :))))

  • what was the site you bought this from again? i couldn't quite hear you.

  • Nice video !! - I'm getting my d90 this week, now that you've had it over a year, your thoughts please... Thanks , Joe...

  • thank you very much for this post, youve got a very cool vibe. This made my day, I'll try to enjoy the unboxing of my d90 as well as you did. you are my new hero.

  • Went out and bought D90 Body with 18-200mm lens and Speedlite 600. Have not looked back since. (Goes without saying ND filter was bought for all lenses.)

As an Australian living in the UK I get to drive around to towns and villages that are older than my birth country, The D90 has delivered brilliantly. And the video is most impressive.

ALL lenses are Nikon brand. I always like the collars and cuffs to match. LOL. Anyway, thanks for a great presentation. Best wishes, Mark.

  • Very nice video..Absolutely refreshing to see the way you communicate with people and very well presented... Ofcourse an excellent camera.

  • I completely agree with you on the "feel"/ergonomics :)

  • is VR necessary?

  • what do you think of the d3000 as a first camera?

  • As your VERY first digital camera, it might be a bit overwhelming. But it is an excellant camera.

  • i just got mine a few days ago for my 20th, ITS AMAZING!

  • You could convert the D60 for IR Photography... Or just buy the Hoya r72 IR filter and do it that way.. That's why I'm also going to buy the D60 or D70 is to use it for IR since I have the D90

  • Agreed!

  • There's nothing like a John Deere, ooops, I meant Nikon! I never could afford the luxery of Nikon 35mm (80's, B4 all this digital stuff, the body was 600$+ and those great Nikor lenses were gonna get ya well into the killerbucks). Most modern vid and still digicams suck cuz their lenses suck! Lenses are far more important than megapizels! Carl Zeuss gets a lot of name dropping nowdays. But IMHO Nikon is BEST for under 1K$!

  • I am a blink photographer. I am legally blind, and totally colorblind. But I still love film. As for video cams, I still like analog. For stills, digital is kewl, but I guess analog video is kewl IF you get a good lens. Most video cams use a digital sensor though. I think tubes went OUT with sadicon. Digital is finally catching up to FILM quality. Q: How many megapixels would 35mm ASA 100 film be like? When you blow up digital it still sux = SVGA. Does the Nikon have a mic jack?

  • The D-90 does not have a mic jack. The newer D3000/5000 does, I believe.

  • some built in mics are OK, but that mic jack can be important for vids, especially if you're more than eight feet from the cam. Request, would you be interested in making a vid about mics, since you were a pro that used hi-Q mics? I have a small microphone collection, and I favor EV. You might talk shotgun mics too for vids. Seems more and more the manufacturers are doing away with in/out and mic jacks. I ber you have a 635a and RE20! I plan to talk mics someday in a vid.

  • Es Divertido Este Wero

  • Wow...lots of variables. 12 MP is fine. Are you keeping the D-60 body? I prefer fewer lenses, so I like the 18-105. You may want to sell the D-60 body someday or combine it with the 18-55.

  • good camera? would it be a good upgrade from a d60?

  • Yes it would. It has many pro features plus it can take practically any lens Nikon produced in last 4 decades!

  • hmm awesome! Thanks :) and the 12 megapixels is more than enough right? and the price for the d90 is good? and also since I have the d60 I also have the 18-55 vr and the 55-200 vr, Should I save a few bucks and get the body only or get the 18-105 kit lens?

  • When I used to sell cameras, I would tell people (honestly) that you might as well buy whats available today & not wait as all the mfgs are constantly developing new models that will in a year obsolete what you just bought. The train never stops, so you might as well hop on now. (I really liked the Nikon D50 and D70 that came before this one.)

  • whoa man awesome. i just envy you...

  • hi mate,

if you want a very clear and superb quality camera, and have alot of cash laying around, i recommend the sony a900. specialy cuz you are into photography with 25 megapixels you would get very clear pictures.

  • Thanks mate. Yes, I have read up on the new Sony A900. I would love to own one but have not won the lottery yet.

  • one of the most fun unboxing stuff video

coz u like kind a active and fun

    hehe,cool video

  • Hey there. Can you tell me the name of the shop where you did buy this camera from? I'm french and i don't understand the name of it really well :-)

    Thank you! Btw, great video.

  • Cameta

  • Did you have to pay extra for the battery and charger?

  • No...all accessories were included: Nikon battery & charger, strap, caps, CD, books -everything.

  • i see with the gray box that you got a refurbished camera making it considerably cheaper. how much money did you spend?

  • I saved $300 over any advertised price for a new model.

  • i just bought my D90..great

  • canon50D or nikonD90?

    nikonD500 or nikonD90?

  • I've owned both Canon & Nikon but like the "feel" of Nikon better. Heavier & solid. I never tried a Canon 50D but I still prefer the D-90.

  • hey nice video helped me alot. planning to get a d90 soon. by the way what program did you use to edit your videos? pls respond thanks

  • For YouTube, I use iMovie which is the basic video program that comes with Mac computers.

  • Im not sure if I agree with the video on DSLR I think you just need pictures, if you want a video then buy a video camera. Needless to say in my opinion this is one of the best cameras EVER for the price at least. KKD: you really need to make a video of the pictures you have taken with this camera and also some tips.

  • I agree. I love my D-90 but it IS a STILL camera. The video feature is nice if you are out and need some supplimentary video with your stills. LIke you say, if you video - get a video camera. I included the short video in this just to show it as a feature.

  • Why don't you make a few videos with a review and tips on the Nikon D90 camera?

  • Thanks...I may. I've thought of doing a few videos, something like "Photo 101", giving some tips & reviews.

  • That would be great. I returned my D5000 and now have the D90 as well. Some tips and reviews would be great for a newbie like me.

  • good note on the battery

  • can you tell me how much you pay for that camera . thanhks a lot

  • Why the box of the your camera is grey and the box of the lens is white?

The usual (original) color of the boxes is gold...

  • Gols boxes are for new cameras and grey ones are for refurbs.

  • Ok, I understand... Thanks

  • Also love the little dog pulling his toy around in the background. What does have around his waist?

  • "Sushi" sometimes chews on himself too much, so this little velcro wrap keeps his mind on other things.

  • Why did you get a refurbished D90 and did it have a high shutter count when you received it?

  • I saved $300 on the purchase and Nikon reset the shutter count to Zero.

  • Comment removed

  • Great video and great delivery of your information. You're a very talented man I could learn a lot from. Can't wait to see more.

  • you should do a video on all the cameras that you have collected over the years.

  • "ALL" might be a bit much - but I have a few more interesting ones that I'll be posting in the future.

  • Nice camera Kerry, i have the Nikon N80 (35mm) and i agree with you, Nikon have a great "grip". It's relly nice to take pictures in Nikons with this kind of body.

  • nice hair and nice camera. the problem i think is the sound when you make films with the d-90. is not so good. anyway, i'm a fan of unboxing videos and i made one a few months ago. i wish i have money to buy such camera.

  • There are 3 small holes on the front of the D-90 camera which is the mono microphone. I used a clip-on mic for most of the video shot with a Canon camcorder. Perhaps Nikon will put an Audio In socket on a future model.

  • Really is that true the older style Nikon Lens won't work on the Brand New D-5000

  • I believe only the Auto Focus will not work - Manual only. Everything else is OK.

  • Very cool video. You always provide such great info to us, thanks.

  • the sound too good but great quality

  • very nice video....very nice camera.

  • Excellent job, Ker! And, a damn nice camera! Hope you get lots of years of use out of it!!

  • cool i want one

  • Hey friend, why did you choosed the D90, if you already have a D80, you said you have some old lenses of nikon and the D300 much better working with those old lenses, but still you choosed a great camera the D90 is a great piece.

  • Great choice .. the D90!

    MegaPixels and Zoom are key

Plus I like that you can add lenses too

  • I was going to get this camera the D90 for $900 .But did not for now because of the economic times.I was also thinking of getting a Canon Mark II at $2700 Oh crap on that too for now.
