  • @thizizliz Glad you are enjoying them Liz!

  • I'm addicted to your channel! I love your recipes they are quick easy and yummy thanks for doing these videos :)

  • @nicoleholly77 Thanks for watching! I do appreciate it.

  • OK im confused, in the beginning you said to put the whole bag in but then your like "mix the cake mix you put aside with almonds" so yeah, what cake mix?

  • @urahairymonster The recipe is typed out in the description box, take a look at that and I think you will get the idea

  • Yah... I love almond extract too... It just smells sooo good! 

  • @glitterglam160 Yes, I think one of the best parts of the almond extract is the scent!

  • Wow this looks amazing..so unusual..thanks for sharing..:D..

  • @TwilightVampForever You are welcome, thanks for stopping by

  • I just made these - they are cooling now... The house smells SO GOOD!

  • @thizizliz Tammy, they were awesome. It was all I could do not to eat 5 of them. Thanks!

  • @thizizliz I was just about to ask you if you liked them and I saw your second comment! Glad you enjoyed them.

  • Hello, i just wanted to say that i love all your videos! and i was gonna ask if you could maybe make a video on how to make ice cream cake? the kind with actual cake because i have found some videos but they're basically stacks of ice cream and no cake lol it be great if you could, please and thank you :)

  • @purplestars25 I've had an icecream cake that I've been wanting to try for a looonnngg time. I've never actually made one before. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • @yoyomax12 Yw :) and i actually took the risk and made one myself :) it came out really good! my family loved it! It turns out its very easy to make :) i would've made a video but i don't have a camera lol

  • More baking videos!!! I check to see if you have a new baking vid everyday!! :)

  • @Canadiangurl75 More baking vids coming up! I have two apple based ones edited and ready to go, look for them this week.

  • Looks like a easy, yummy recipe! Thank you!

  • @Vintagebeliever Thanks!

  • oooh nomnomnomnom! Looks really yummy, ^^

  • @Meisjeee33 Thanks!

  • I was already wondering when you laid down that first layer. Like uhhh... did you forget something? Like liquid? But the end result looks astonishing. NOT what I'd expected. I do love almonds, and this reeks of them. I'll have to try it.

  • @anmoose It was a real surprise that it was as moist as it turned out. I think there is probably more fat in those mixes than one would think.

  • Very easy to follow. The finished product looks wonderful. I'll have to try it. It will be a smaller version, though. I don't have will power when it comes to fresh baked goods.

  • @shrinkmyrecipes You could easily make two small ones and freeze one, I do that quite often

  • @yoyomax12 Freezing is a good option. I think I'll do that.

  • im fan of almond cookies so this is different type....gotta make this week!

  • @KewpieGirl Love me some almond cookies!

  • I love how your vidoes are straight to the point. I love how I can watch for about 2 mins and get the idea of it perfectly. I hate how other videos' other people make just chat and chat about nothing before they start. I love your videos! <33 Love from California here!

  • @DaniCaliLove Thanks for the lovely compliment. I don't like videos that take 3 minutes just to go through the ingredients first. Make the darned recipe! We'll see the ingredients then! lol

  • this looks real yummy. thank you!

  • @lizoxoxo121 Thanks!

  • I suck! I'm downloading something and it has choked my video watching abilities.I just got to "this is my new mixer with rubber coated"... and it stops. Whaaaa. I want..no, I need a new mixer. I have never found one that I have truly liked! I had my eye on some Kitchen Aid, but seeingyour comments, I may have to go check out this one!

  • @silverscreamgrl This hamilton-beach is powerful but REALLY heavy, it should be on a stand. Mixing something for a long time would be painful on the wrists.

  • @yoyomax12 Does it have notches near the bottom of it? so it can set on the rim of your bowl? My ghetto Hamilton-Beach has them.. doesn't really get the work done, but you can sort of skirt it around the rim of the bowl if you like

  • @silverscreamgrl My old mixer had the notches, but not this one.

  • Sound so yummy! it's very similar to a Dump Cake (which I suggest you try!).

  • @matamama2 I've had dump cake, but never filmed one, thanks for the suggestion

  • Sorry I meant raspberry or mixed berries preserves - Presidents Choice has some really good ones to try for this recipe!

  • Ok this looks really great - I'm thinking I can use raspberry or mixed berries on top of the 2nd layer and then add the nut topping!

Finish served warm with a scoop of French Vanilla Ice Cream...mmmm totally making this on the wknd! Thanks! Love your videos!

  • @Pauligrrl mmmmmm.....I was thinking the same thing when I was making this, some fruit preserves on top would really be good! Great minds think alike, lol

  • Very Interesting!! and U can use different flavors and toppings..

  • @wonderblunt Very true!

  • Wow i couldnt imagine how there were going to turn out. Looks yummo

  • @Seedcovers It was a surprise to me too!

  • Thank you yoyomax for this recipe!

I will try to make this during my holidays starting on Friday!

  • @maplepoon Great, I think you will like them if you enjoy the taste of almond.

  • @hotdog1997 It has tons of power, but is a lot heavier!

  • @positivelypurpleful It is a Hamilton-Beach, I bought it at Walmart. Not any more difficult to clean the beaters than regular metal ones.

  • @VegetarianFound Good, let me know if you like it

  • OMG!! those look soo yummy! I could go for one of those now!

  • @euniceroman Thanks, it is tasty!

  • Nifty mixer! About time they put some kind of guard on those beaters. That looks really delicious. I love almond too.

  • @wildheart5 The mixer came with the coated and the regular beaters, they are MUCH quieter on metal bowls

  • Oh lord another awesome recipe! Gotta make these for sure

  • @Fitange Thanks!

  • ok now can you say what brand beaters these are without getting into trouble with u tube?//

  • @soonfully You don't get in trouble for mentioning brand names, only playing copyrighted music, lol!

It is a Hamilton-Beach mixer $40 at Walmart.

  • So glad they turned out good for you Tammy! I like this idea. HUGS xo

  • @WackaDoodleFreeZone Thanks Peggy!

  • I think if you toasted the almonds a little first it would be even better! :) sounds good though.

  • @sybeve I agree, toasted almonds are much more flavourful

  • Yummmm Yummmm Love almond..

  • @tweetnes Me too Irene, I just love those Chinese cookies.

  • i have never seen beaters that are covered so they are quieter. does the coating seem as if will last?

    xoexo

  • @edenbainbridge They are coated with a rubber type coating, it also came with a second set of regular beaters. I'll have to see!

  • @yoyomax12 keep us posted, i have been daydreaming about them all day. i mentioned them to mike but he just glazed over. he cares not for the sound beaters make being he sits in the office usually while i cook, lol

    xoexo

  • that looks really nice! :D

  • @boylebongo Thanks!

  • I was a bit like you in thinking these may not turn out...but they look really good and glad they turned out well:)

  • @dreamer72fem I had some serious doubts, because it seemed mighty dry, but it was surprisingly moist.

  • Oh yum. So simple. But what I'm drooling over is those beaters! They won't scratch your bowl or as you say, make as much noise and should work equally well. Very nice!

  • @thizizliz They are MUCH quieter than the regular beaters and the mixer (although heavier) is much more powerful than my old mixer. It died mixing Max's birthday cake icing! lol

  • @yoyomax12 A terrific cook needs and deserves good tools! :) Enjoy!

  • *adds almond extract & ground almonds to shopping list* Love the new mixer :)

  • @Garnet77 Mixer is nice, much quieter than my old one.

  • Wow this is really good

  • @Gorjet1 Thanks!

  • I love your recipes...Thanks so much for sharing!!!

  • @queenbdramaqueen You are welcome, thanks for stopping by.

  • nice. do you have any special cookies or dessert for Easter?

  • @Esunshine71 So far the only Easter stuff I have done are cupcakes.

  • yum!

  • @heatherzhere Thanks!

  • Mm, this looks great. Thanks for sharing. :D

  • @Synth You are welcome. :)
