okay, I'm just going to say that this is a movement that we use in dressage (which I do) and it is in NO way harmful to the horse or rider. it is called a piaffe and it is to show how collected your horse can get. to train you start by teaching a passage and you make the horse get slower and slower without walking or stopping, and when they do walk or stop you immediately go forward to reward them. SO PLEASE STOP SAYING IT'S ANIMAL ABUSE. your giving horse people who know what they are doing a

@jimbo226 Training training training and lots of training. It begins small with just trying to keep the horse in one place but moving at the same time. And then you build it up untill the horse understands the movement and the command. It's not that hard but you need to really know what your doing.

I love this stuff! I make my horse dance all the time. however, through pavlonian conditioning, I no longer need a whip. just commands, music and some carrots at the end of the day... sucks my horse had to go through the whip stage.

OR you could've just done this thing...um whats it called...TRAINING. You see you TEACH them to do this without being abusive...its called a piaffe. A very bad and unbalanced piaffe. And believe it or not, dressage riders can do it without hurting their horse! go figure!
