I've been a huge fan from the vampire diaries, from Ian. he is so inspiring, now i'm watching you, you're too. I'm really glad that some people do care about the world. I think the interview was great, but I wish there would've been more questions about him personally to get to know him better as a person. This interview was a bit too serious. I understand the questions were about important issues. However, I think there should've been a mix of questions-about ISF & him personally. Michael Trevino's interview was better...really enjoyed that one. Just a lil constructive criticism, but overall a great job. I do agree about the gum chewing though.

every interview he does i have to watch twice-first to look at his face and be mesmerized, then to actually try and listen to what he's saying - which is still hard with that perfect face .he's just so perfect.
Ian struck a very good point. How do we make energy conservation interesting to kids that are fourteen and fifteen? I am fourteen years old, and it's hard to get involved, because most people don't want to hear what we have to say. They feel that we aren't educated enough to come up with legitimate ideas, so the news comes on with political debates on energy conservation, we've stopped caring. I think ISF will help us get the voice that us young teenagers need to help us start making changes.
Make sure to vote for Ian Somerhalder for Male Hottie and Vampire at the Teen Choice Awards. Don't need Rob Pattinson to win either of these categories. And don't let bieber win male hottie. yuck.

And there are alot of things being developed in europe right now to produce cleaner, natural energy. In Norway for instance they re developing osmosis power... which they believe will produce the equivalent of wind, solar AND hydro combined. Things like that need more attention

@djwasser We weren't bored, we were actually LISTENING to what he was saying. He wasn't talking about rainbows and unicorns. The topics he was discussing are serious topics. Also, we had 2 minutes to set up in the hotel room. We had NO time to prepare. Not to mention their were probably 20 people in the room watching us. Talk about nerve wracking. I'm just glad we were able to give Ian the opportunity to talk about his foundation and the topics he is passionate about. Remember, I'm only 17.

@djwasser This was also the first interview I've EVER done. Try having your first interview be with Ian Somerhalder. I won't lie I was NERVOUS. I'm not defending myself, just explaining. I appreciate everyone's feedback and I agree with the gum chewing thing. Definitely not professional but we literally walked in the room, talked to Ian for 5 minutes, and we were rolling. We weren't thinking about spitting out our gum. We apologize for the gum chewing but please don't comment on someones weight.
He makes a lot of good points, but I dissagree with what he said about only 18 years olds being able to do something and that one person can't make a difference. thousands or millions of gallons of oil are naturally put into the ocean every year and a molecule also naturally made eats that oil. It can harm animals and we shouldn't dump more on purpose, but maybe just make more of that molecule to eat it up. He's doing a great thing making another foundation that's overall for everything.
He's so passionate when he explains what's dear to his heart, I'm sure he's the one who is able to make the world understand things have to change. Thank you for this interview, he's always clear and manages to make his point. The more interviews I listen, the more I admire him and his battle !

Ian struck a very good point. How do we make energy conservation interesting to kids that are fourteen and fifteen? I am fourteen years old, and it's hard to get involved, because most people don't want to hear what we have to say. They feel that we aren't educated enough to come up with legitimate ideas, so the news comes on with political debates on energy conservation, we've stopped caring. I think ISF will help us get the voice that us young teenagers need to help us start making changes.

Great interview! You guys asked some really good questions. I didn't know about this foundation before, but I'm glad I know about it now! And I'm super jealous you guys were talking to him for so long! He's soooooooo gorgeous.
The only thing I would say is, for the next interview you do, don't chew gum. It is distracting and it looks rather unprofessional.

He isn't like any other actor. Most of them (not all but most) are so superficial and all they care about is how they look and their career. But Ian speaks so strongly about the things he believes in. He is so much more than meets the eye.
He is so inspirational.

@VampireDiariesVlogs Which begs the question - how do you work for his foundation? you dont have to donate blood or anything do you (pause for laughter) I really like alot of the issues he was talking about. And there are alot of things being developed in europe right now to produce cleaner, natural energy. In Norway for instance they re developing osmosis power... which they believe will produce the equivalent of wind, solar AND hydro combined. Things like that need more attention

By the way, the interwiew was good. His speech is inspirational, yes, it is... There's a lot to do for our planet, our home, and I think he is just trying to mobilize as much people as he can. And he is right about the need of a generational change... and I'd say more, maybe this could be our only chance of changing the world. In fact, we must keep trying and fighting.

He is such an extraordinary man...he uses his influence in entertainment to expound and embark upon changing the world....those girls could have paid more attention to him, i mean, afterall, he did take time out of his busy schedule to sit down and talk with some teenagers. But he is so focused and passionate about his goals, what a beautiful man, inside and out.

Those girls looked so bored, I would of joined in with the discussion with him, even though I'm only 14 years of age, I understand mostly what he is saying, this guy is a HUGE inspiration to his fans and the world, he actually speaks sense unlike some celebrities now-a-days, those girls didn't even look fascinated, wish I could interview him, would of made it a whole better interview, thank you Ian for being so awesome.

@djwasser We weren't bored, we were actually LISTENING to what he was saying. He wasn't talking about rainbows and unicorns. The topics he was discussing are serious topics. Also, we had 2 minutes to set up in the hotel room. We had NO time to prepare. Not to mention their were probably 20 people in the room watching us. Talk about nerve wracking. I'm just glad we were able to give Ian the opportunity to talk about his foundation and the topics he is passionate about. Remember, I'm only 17.

@djwasser This was also the first interview I've EVER done. Try having your first interview be with Ian Somerhalder. I won't lie I was NERVOUS. I'm not defending myself, just explaining. I appreciate everyone's feedback and I agree with the gum chewing thing. Definitely not professional but we literally walked in the room, talked to Ian for 5 minutes, and we were rolling. We weren't thinking about spitting out our gum. We apologize for the gum chewing but please don't comment on someones weight.

He makes a lot of good points, but I dissagree with what he said about only 18 years olds being able to do something and that one person can't make a difference. thousands or millions of gallons of oil are naturally put into the ocean every year and a molecule also naturally made eats that oil. It can harm animals and we shouldn't dump more on purpose, but maybe just make more of that molecule to eat it up. He's doing a great thing making another foundation that's overall for everything.

I am from the netherlands and I can fully understand all his words.
because he is not rushing , he takes his time to explain and I feel his concern,

How anyone can dislike this interview is beyond me. He's so passionate about the earth and it's sad that not many people care anymore; the points raised about deforestation etc convey that - it shows that some people do care. And it gives real hope for the planet.. yearning for a change is contageous.
