@Redtale1106 True, but the GoPro mount forces you to take the GoPro off the mount you had it on, losing your angle of mounting and potentially losing that little acorn nut. I found that I was doing a lot of helmet cam and then tripod and then back to helmet, so the quick release tripod mount comes in handy for me when I'm switching back and forth and don't want to lose that angle I had set on my helmet (or go thorugh the hassle of unscrewing it a bunch of times.)
