actually it is proven that cats think and feel emotions alot more like humans do than dogs. their emotional area of the brain react quite like people do, the only difference is that cats are much better at hiding their emotions when need be.

This may sound odd to everyone... But I bet dogs has more things in common about humans than monkeys.... They worry, they communicate with emotions, they almost get same diseases as humans, we both eat meat, both have long nose (but with different number of smelling detectors), they behave almost the same unlike monkeys or chimpanzees.. or however you want to call them. Monkeys only look a bit like us. but very different. They are like... an odd species that kind of looks like humans. my opinion

Wild dogs (Wolves), don't really bark at all. Modern domesticated dogs in the wild, will still bark.

Their brains have been altered during the >10000 years relationship with humans. They've developed ways of communicating with us through barking and eye movement/body language. No other animals do that.
