The cylinder is made by Bimba and has about a 10 inch stroke.

up/down is controlled by a 555 timer and the up and out is controlled by a light beam sensor and pressure switch.

Really cheap, free IDE, free support, runs ladder logic and basic...at the same time!

Just add relays and imagination and you can automate anything.
