There must somewhere be more film footage of this wonderful artist than is currently on the net (i.e. almost none) This recording alone is testimony to the phenomenon of this man's singing.

@stephenyatesacoustic There is a sean nós singing festival held in memory of Joe Heaney annually in April/May, in his native Carna, South Connemara in Co. Galway. It began in 1986, two years after he passed away. This year the festival dates are 4-7 May 2012.
