(Not joking this time) The problem with this series was the very varied quality of the acting. Paddy was good, but Frank just comes across as over-acting (not necessarily the actors fault, of course.) Karen would be more suited to Coronation Street, but Mandy suits this show better. The gay one puts in a very good performance, but Lip just seems bored all the time. The Maguire brothers I find hard to take seriously (although maybe thats the point.)

I didn't get this ending at all. Its a show set in Manchester about drug abuse, murder, incest, under age sexual relations, domestic violence, alcahol abuse, theft, bad language, corruption, unemployment, broken homes, beastiality, lack of respect for authority and unmarried parents.
