Why on earth doesn't someone come in and restore it instead of letting such a grand place fall into ruins if that was in US someone would have grabbed it long ago. So sad

@tjaden1954 It definitely is a pity but in the US a castle like this would be a rarity and a major tourist attraction, while Belgium has over 3000 castles - on average one every 10kms. It's also very secluded and surrounded by dense forests.

@tjaden1954 , unfortunately it's the same in the US - just look up the beautiful Kirkbrides which of course aren't castles but beautiful nonetheless. Only a few were ever renovated - most fell into disrepair and were demolished for things like good ol' Walmart.
