  • Looks great

  • Awesome recipe

  • "Thanks for tubin' in", that's funny!!! :) I'm gonna try your recipe... thanks!

  • @kiki1326 Thanks! Hope you enjoy it!

  • Thanks for the receipe, what's the name of the Salsa music please?

  • @artemisaaaf Hmmm. This was our very first video. I think it came from imovie. Thanks!

  • Do you ever use the plastic liners?

  • @amesguy515 No, I haven't. What are they?

  • @ChefTips They're like the bags you cook your meat with in the oven, but they're made for crockpots, so you just toss them when you're done with no mess to clean up.

  • @ChefTips its a heat-resistant plastic bag that fits in the crockpot. you can just throw the plastic liner away instead of cleaning the crock.

they make clean-up go from easy to stupid-easy. i like them -_-

  • @amesguy515

it has harmful chemicals in it that leech into the food especially when the food it hot or heated in plastic. and if you think i'm a crazy person... even DR Oz warned people on his show last week to never put food in plastic especially to heat it.

    plastic is bad for you!

  • Always looking for slow cooker receipes and know as the queen of them. Thanks for a different idea. I do though hate the music I would prefer to just list to you explainging the ingrediants and not have to strain over the music to hear it.

  • thx for the spray idea.

  • Jason, I add my voice to those who say you would do well to eliminate the music that drowns out your voice. It is impossible to hear your cooking instructions.

  • @WaiguoGuizi This was our first video. Our videos have improved exponentially since then. Check out our new stuff. I think you'll enjoy it much better. Cheers! Jason

  • looks real good-ha!

  • Corn and beans are a filler bad juju for good chili

  • @droober

  • @HarryPooter13

    Why?

  • @HarryPooter13

    I do. :)

  • just to let u know chile verde has pork not chicken

  • I have that EXACT same model of crock pot, as a wedding gift from 1985!!! BEST model out there and in continual use since I got it! Wish Rival still made such simple models; nice video and excellent sounding recipe. :)

  • Thanks! I think this was our wedding gift from the early 1990s!

  • You know it's great finding real chef online showing these great family recipes. Please keep em goin.

  • @onyxone144

Thanks for the comment. I'll keep making more videos.

    Cheers!

  • thanks for the recipe idea!! With a picky family, this just might come in handy!

  • Hope you enjoy it! It's quick and easy, and really good in burritos. You can also serve it as a chicken chili.

  • Good food n tips! Can u show how to make lemon chicken and rice. Plz,my kids love it.

  • Great video! Can't wait to try this. It helps when the chef is handsome too. :)

  • Can you make crock pot recipes with raw chicken or will that result in food poisoning?

  • Hello.

You can make plenty of raw chicken recipes in a crock pot or slow cooker. Just make sure that your final cooked chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

  • : )

  • Thanks, Jason

  • Jason Jason..I like your recipe a lot but the music got to gooooooo.its hard to hear your wonderful voice in the middle over the sounds . Well, I did feel like dancing just a little bit ..hhe cutie@! 5*

  • @djkimberly

Yeah, this was one of our first videos. It's pretty bad, but the recipe is good. =]

  • im your new fans.. great vid..

u always make me want to eat..

  • i like to use double all the ingredients, then the onion/garlic/cilantro i blend in a food processor, saute with 3.5-4lbs of chicken, then i blend half to a paste, and the other have i blend until its all chopped kind of like shrededed...dump it in and let it get warm!

  • Hello,

What kind of Shredded chicken do you use?

  • @Fantomex005

Hello. I believe we used the Costco Kirkland brand canned chicken.

  • this sounds delicious im gonna try it!!!

    rated u 5 stars!

  • Thanks for rating the video 5 stars. It was my first video, and the recipe is far better than this video lol!

    Cheers,

  • nice work Jason! - Yes the music was a bit loud, but next time round im sure you'll turn it down. Love the recipe.

  • Yeah, this was one of our first videos. Pretty bad quality. But the recipe kills! ha!

    Jason

  • Thank you , for posting this video.

  • You're welcome. It was one of first videos so it is lacking in quality...

  • Suggest turning down the music. I can't hear what you're saying.

  • I don't think if I can fix that at this point. Sorry. =[

  • the music in the background is irratating but other than that great vid

  • Yes, this was one of our first videos. I think we've improved on them a bit since this one! Thanks, Jason

  • oh well it was still a great vid

  • Oooh i had that same chile verde recipe last night! (except it was made with prok instead of chicken and no corn) and it was wonderful! I was wondering though, one time while i was at a raiders football game, i purchased a pulled pork sandwich. it was just pork on bread but it was Sooooo wonderful! So, can you tell me how long and how high i should cook the meat, and what cut of pork to get a good pulled pork sandwich. Im sorry if this comment was very long and kinda off topic.

  • Hello. I don't have a recipe off the top of my head, but I do know that you want to use a bone in pork shoulder, preferably the butt end with the skin on. Find a good dry rub recipe, and place in the crock pot on low for 6 hours, pull the pork and keep it in the crock pot simmering in the juice for another hour. Serve on bread with coleslaw!

  • Ok Thank you Very much!, ill make that tommorow!

  • You're welcome! Let me know how it works out for you. Take care, Jason

  • Can potatoes be added in the beginning?

  • That sounds like it may be a good!

  • Jason rocks!!!!! I am a big fan of his reciepes and they are easy and delicious

  • Thanks 41stan!

  • CANS of Chicken? How good can it taste with canned meat...

  • You can certainly use fresh cooked chicken that you can shred by hand. The canned tastes fine, and I use to save some time.

  • I love Crock Pots, plus they last forever

  • move the music back just a tad.....

  • They only way we can do that is if we remove the video. This was one of our first videos, so the editing is not the best. Sorry about that.

    Jason

  • crock pot is a funny word

  • you videos are wonderful, but the music is a bit distracting. I've prepared several of your dishes, and have enjoyed every one of them.

  • I agree the music on our earlier videos was too loud. Our latest videos have been toned down. Thanks for commenting! Jason

  • "thanks for tubbing in"

    cute

  • Hi Chef Jeff

Love your video presentation it is easy to follow with very useful tips.

Just one query what is the fluid in the clear jug?

Do you use stock and if so how much for crockpot soup or stew recipes?

    Many thanks

    Luv you

    Anne (Belfast) :)

  • Hi there! I believe that's the green enchilada sauce that you are referring to. We do use stock for soup and stews quite often, usually chicken stock. The amount depends on the recipe we are cooking; it does vary. Thanks! Let me know if we can answer any other questions!

    ~ Slainte! Jason

  • I do love crock pots. I own 3 an 8, a 6 and a 2 quart.

  • Its a crockpot.

  • i just bought my 1st crock-pot, im so going to try this idea next week, thank you for your time to post this, if u have any other ideas, please post them and also send me a msg. ty sir

  • I will be doing some more crock pot recipes in the future. Hope you enjoy enjoy this recipe!

  • Love using my crock pot and have made a crock pot video as well. Thanks for the great recipe !

  • Hi mballek. Thanks for the comment. I'll have to check out your recipe.

    Jason

  • Looks like a great recipe. My only question is where does all the liquid come from in the crock pot for this recipe( your ingredients didn't seem to have a lot of juice/liquid in them)? I don't want to mess this up or burn down the house.

  • Don't worry. The liquid does come from the canned products. The longer you cook this, the more the liquid will go away.

  • that totally looks super yummy!!

thanx :)~ this recipe made me so hungry i'm going to munch and munch and munch right now!!

  • That recipe does look good. Can the beans be replace with something else? Or maybe not included? I just don't like beans so much.

  • Hi Barkcanvas. No, you do not have to put in the beans. You can add extra chicken if you like, or use a bit less sauce than it calls for. Take care! Jason

  • Is crock pot and rice cooker are same ?

  • Good question. Actually a rice cooker is more of steaming device. A slow cooker is like cooking on your stove top.

  • Man, I keep thinking about Crock Pots, but I never go out to buy one. I hope someone will get me one for Christmas this year...

  • Then those people who got sick should've cleaned it before they used it.

  • LOL! No kidding! =]

  • That is the exact same one that I have :D...

  • We just upgraded ours. They now come with and insert that you can cook over your stove with!

  • Very nice :D...

  • I have not heard that.

  • Me neither that would be the first

  • what is that thing thats looks like a big bowl with a lid that you plug in the wall?

  • Are you talking about the black thing behind me? If so, it is a espresso machine.

  • Nice job Ill have to try it later in the week Any ideas on meals for a picky 7 yr old???

  • Try letting him help you put the recipe together and then tell everyone that he or she helped cook it. Chances are he'll eat.

  • Thanks for the easy to follow and delicious looking recipe. I'll try it out for sure.

  • Thanks for commenting! I hope you like the recipe.

    Cheers!

  • Hey you might like these

  • MestUpMime. Those are some sweet bike tricks. I Never got anywhere as good as that on my old BMX. :-)

  • hmmm

  • are these ingredients available in store? being an indian i m not familiar with all ingredients, but i love to cook new things. can u tell me, how long do i hv to soak white beans before tring this recipe of urs. Would let you know how it turned out if i can get all the ingredients for this recipe.

  • Great question. Sorry we did not post that the beans are a 15 ounce can. No soaking necessary. Here is our written recipe.

2 (9.75 ounce) cans shredded chicken drained

1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen corn

2 (28 oz.) cans green enchilada sauce

1 (15 oz.) can Northern white beans

    4 finely chopped garlic cloves

    1 small onion, finely chopped

    7 ounce canned salsa verde

7 ounce canned diced green chiles

1 handful fresh cilantro leaves, washed and chopped

  • Great! I made this last week and switched the white beans with pintos. Also liked the ending. Very original and relaxed. Good posting ChefTips.

  • Thanks for the comment sfballach! Glad you enjoyed the recipe and the video. I will not post a recipe that has not been approved by my family and/or friends! :D

  • Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

  • Great video Jason! Looks like a delicious dish!

  • Thank you Chef Jason!

    Can't wait to try it:-)

  • Let me know how it turned out! If you have any questions, please post!
