Nit picking? It's not nit picking to see the gross, prideful fallacy of this video, that tries to equate Hyles with the greatest events of history. This video is prideful, shameless, and ridiculous.
So my question is, is this God-centric or man-centric. Being a video editor, there are certain things that stick out to me that had to be purposely done in the editing that emphasizes Jack Hyles more than anyone else-the cheering after his name is mentioned. And why are we talking about Hyles, not God? I find it funny that I can count on one had how many times God is mentioned on a video that is suppose to be promoting a CHRISTian conference: again, I ask: God-centric or man-centric.

Fundamentalism has contributed nothing to the war for freedom and personal liberty. Just go open a history book. You will see reference to the Quakers and their insistence upon freedom of conscience, to the Salvation Army and its insistence upon mercy to the afflicted, even to the Puritans and their insistence that every citizen must be taught to read as an obligation of a just government. But you won't find Fundamentalism anywhere---or Jack Hyles.

Do you think Jack Hyles, yammering about slacks on women, short hair on men, and the evils of rock and roll was even a tenth, or a hundredth as significant as Ronald Regan challenging Gorbachev to tear down the wall?
no we shoud not have compared them because ronald regan was defending liberty and jack hyles is defending the lord jesus crist who by the way is the only way to heaven would you like me to explain it to you?
Frankly, I doubt that you can. Your version of Christianity has been dumbed down to repeating a prayer, following a dress code, and mindlessly obeying anybody who claims authority. It's not a faith: it's a formulation. It's never spiritually changed anything. Not for the better, anyway.

And if you replace His Gospel, based on faith in Him, with a ridiculous list of do's and don'ts from the 1940'2, as well as man-worship and confidence in numbers, He gives your leaders over to their abominable lusts, a pattern we have already seen in the Hyles stratum of Fundamentalism.
