Hi, I just got my Dagger Kaos last week and I've been having a blast and a workout at the same time. I don't know how far you've gotten so far, but I recommend to paddle farther in to the deep and catch waves that form there, that way you don't have to paddle all the way in and then all the way back out. I just so happen to find this guy who's been giving kayak surfing for a while, and he's been giving me all this tips. It looks like you're having a blast! Good times!!
@CuandoCaigaLaN0che I couldn't make it to the outer sand bar that day although I tried repeatedly. I have had some really good clean surf recently but failed to bring the camera. Oh well.
@41365utb Nice video. I like the Kaos but always wondered how it is to paddle out. You say, "you could'nt make it to the sandbar". Was it because the Kaos is hard to paddle out through breaking waves, or your comfort level. The surf does not look that big and I know how frustrating it is not to get out there as I have been stonewalled before. Is it possible to "Duck Dive" a wave with the Kaos. I would appreciate your thoughts or experiences on paddling out. Looks like you had a blast ! Aloha
@skiyaka kaos is a little slow , but it turns on a dime and excellerates on the face of a wave. I prefer to turn broadside to the wave if it is going to break before I can get over it. If I don't it usually results in a pitch pole. I have surfed bigger waves with the boat (8'-10') . usually the bigger waves come with longer periods making it much easier to get out. unlike in the video were the was no window to get out. I like the ride out just as much as surfing the wave. boat won't duck dive

That's kaos alright. I suggest paddling outside the foam before surfing.
