You got the king of the block its a $350 assortment and a good neiborhood show if u fuse it rite I got two a couple years ago so I could see what each cake did so I new what was my finale and all that
Pertaining to The Black cat artillery shells they make a few different types of consumer shells that that have the lift effects or tails. One that I know of is Forest King brand their Warpaint package has them. Then for the packing there is a law I believe is federal saying that you can only shoot 12 shells per cardboard tube. I would agree that the law is good because I spent a night shooting mortars out of the same tube & when I hit 15 shells the tube blew up. Luckily nobody got hurt.
I think theres a limit to the amount of mortars per package. i believe its 6 per tube. so you can buy a pack with 12 in the package but there must be 2 tubes. and you cant buy mortar shells without the tube or in bulk. its illegal
Man!!! Southwestern united states have them banned until it gets more wet..... Damn the cops are looking for people with fireworks..... And I just got my friends and I 2 pounds worth fireworks
black cat gold collection- nice- i'm buying 3 of the gold collection pieces for the 1st time this year in PA- ringleader2 //outbreaker// and an artillery shell set that i forgot the name of..hopefully they're really good
As for Rising effects on the 1.4g artillery shells, they've been around for years now. I know at least since the mid 90's and maybe even before that. Risers are a waste of break charge, star density and so on. The total comp limit for 1.4g shells is 60grams. There isnt much room for error with only 60grams. Those BC shells probably have 40-45 total comp in them, just another way to rip customers IMO. 60g is allowed and thats what a customer should get. The CPSC regulates 1.4g limits.
I accidentally commented using my sons login. I'm the one who made the comment by fulrev1. Back to the tubes. If people buy them, I let them. If they ask if they are worth it, I tell them no and help them find something better. Truth is, some people just want those single tubes cause they look big and intimidating. As for all the empty space in packaging and wasted space. Its mainly due to giving the fireworks some shelf appeal for the customer. You know how it is, bigger must be better.
"made in USA" on BC tube comes from Zenith Specialites in Clinton MO who is the exclusive USA manufacturer of BC. They also carry Brothers and zenith brand. Rewraped cakes are brothers items. I'm a hobbyist 1.4g shooter but also a retailer. Theres not much profit margin on single tubes. I pay wholesaler $60 for a case of #200 tubes (2-3/8th" shells). 60/24 = 2.50 x 3 = sale $7.50. Cost = $2.50 Re-stock = $2.50, I get $2.50 profit without even compensating for fuel and shipping cost.
that's true. But they also have it in Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. And rockets with guidepins. Bottle rockets or WTF you're calling those with a tiny, long piece of wood attached to a rocket, are ILLEGAL in Norway. :(
its nice too see when someone mentions sweden here we have sveafirewors they have a 2inch single shot called VikingBomb its a great one shot for the price of 20 bucks for 6 of them they come in a six pack of 2 ich one shot tubes. theyre pretty nice aswell. just search here on youtube for Vikingbomb and you will see for yourself.
yeah i found a black cat artillerly shell set...12 of them for i think $35....all 12 were different...they were all in the single break form but some had double bursts and they all had tailed and were all pretty nice-- they were called black cat magnum

I got burned on that huge tube before! Turned out to be a dud, then i ended up finding a video of it and it's like a weak 200Gram cake. I've wised up and buy wholesale now and stay away from black cat. As for the single shots, yah they might not be worth it but they do seem bigger than regular artillery shells so i like um

@Mrforthoseabout2rock I live in Georgia and I did 500 gram, Black Cat, Missiles, etc. Just buy them from Shelton fireworks (on the SC border) which is 2 hours away from Atlanta and for $50.00 you can get 4 500 gram reapeters and so on. But when the cops come say that you are almost done and say that you are gonna clean up the mess and they will let you do it as long as you dont get a noise complaint. SO U BASICALLY CAN AS LONG AS YOU DONT GET 2 NOISE COMPLAINTS.
@TheFatfrogproduction we bought black cat fireworks last year from Tennessee when we were coming back from a AC/DC concert, we went to an firework shop called "Tenessee-Alabama Fireworks," and it does have a Phillips 66 Gas Station, its off of I-24, Exit 158 in Jasper, TN, we fired some fireworks off after we saw the USAF Thunderbirds down in Robins Air Force Base, we didn't have complaints, but we do heard cop car sirens, we didn't got in trouble, then we finished off the rest on my dad's b-day
how did you win it? also you won some of black cat's gold collection, i hear they are really cool and have many effects. okay now you won everything from black cat fireworks the i wanted, you are so lucky!
Man your videos rock. And I totally agree about the single shot tubes, I personally did not buy any but at wfboom there in Hubbard you can get them for like 6 bucks a piece which is by far the best price I can find for them
i have gotten consumer shells with rising effects all the time. most of the time they put the rising star or whistle on the bottom of the shell, in the lift cup, probably because it's safer, no exposed prime that way. 1.3g shells have the rising tail on top of the shell rather than in the lift cup so the lift won't destroy the star.
I have recently became a fireworks finatic and I love your channel. I am new to setting off fireworks but i know almost everything about them. I was wondering if you could comment on some of my videos and give me some advice on how to improve them. My channel is AllAroundAwesome88. Thanks.
hi mate all black cat produces are made in japan and the have desgin put on in what ever county they are going to be sold and unless they have the logo on it but is a one made by the same company but are called empire
Alot of those cardboard guns look pretty thin. From someone who has never seen or used a consumer firework (they were banned in my country long before I became interested in fireworks), how long does a tube like that last? Like for that one that had 8 shells in it, how thick is the tube wall? Does it last long enough to be useable after 8 shots?
@frosty956 These long tubes are single shot items, use one time and throw away. I feel bad for you guys in Australia, no consumer fireworks at all in the whole country? You can’t even bring them in over the border because you are surrounded by an ocean.
@displayfireworks1 One state allows some small items, but they can only be sold and used on one specific holiday. Everything was made to require a pyro liscence about 15 years ago. Now you require a liscence (big money), aproved storage/magazine, a permit from the local council, 2 weeks notice, you must send notice to all residents within a 4 km radius, and councils dont aprove permits for 'private' displays at all, let alone on residential property!
@displayfireworks1 Oh and also, any firwork display must be accompanied by at least 5 million dollars of public liability insurance. So even if you get a liscence/permit etc, no one person could ever afford to do anything!
@frosty956 ah it really i think it depends on how well the tube is made two years ago we had about 300 mortars and about 14 tubes 4 metal. at the end some of them were sticking a litt but all you have to do is drop them in pull up and see if it sticks. but mostly the shell when it explodes up should just come right out even with a littl sticking so to answer your question i am guessing a good tube about 10 shells or more then it will start geting stuck a little
I wish all pieces listed the length of the duration. It is a real pain looking them all up online. WFBoom has videos of most of their repeaters and you can time them off of that. LOL to the crazy ass cat.

To better describe what it is on top, instead of calling it a sparkler, its a cylinder fireworks star attached to the top of the shell that leaves a silver or gold tail as it reaches its apogee
Dave, check out the End of Days shells from Bigs. They come either with or without a tail. 144 shells per case, 10 bucks more for the case with tails. I love them!

@tylerwalker2 If you are a Canadian resident you can certainly buy fireworks in the US if you are of legal age, but bringing them over the border is illegal unless you have authorization to do so... In any case, you're best bet would be to not get involved with the sometimes confusing and ass backward fireworks laws in the US (which vary by state).
@firecrab15 ooo well i knew u cudent take em over the border lol i know ppl who did and got cot lol! but sweet i may go to washington state with my mom and yea shes of leagal age
Well looks like we both got lucky on silent auctions, On friday i went to a golf fundraiser ( Did horrid haha ) But i put 15 bucks (40 tickets, but she gave me an extra 10 by mistake ) into the silent auction ( about 15 prizes, all being about $300-350 each ) and out of those prizes, with over 200 people in the room and the bags loaded with tickets, I won 2 prizes, was 5 numbers off from a ipod touch 32GB and 1 number off from a 300 dollar prize package. Haha, 700 bucks :) , Any other prizes ?
Black cat used to be the best, but it's been too many years since I have actually purchased some. I'm still trying to get the low down on their firecrackers to see if they still make them the old way (crimped ends, not clay packed)
Dam it YouTube here I am again went from weed to fireworks....I love YouTube :)

The only rising effect shell kit I ever bought was called "whistling buster shells." I forget the brand.

Black cat used to be the best, but it's been too many years since I have actually purchased some. I'm still trying to get the low down on their firecrackers to see if they still make them the old way (crimped ends, not clay packed)

10 bucks for all that, what a deal! Black Cat is very good, they have well made products and are mostly decently priced. From what i have used anyway

Thank you for actually explaining each piece and reviewing it and not just blowing them all off
