Sabicas does the alzapua much stronger and he always uses the golpe. No one can play it better than him.

Paco de Lucia does it without the golpe and too fast.

Ramon Montoya was the first to record this thumb technique I believe and Sabicas must have copied him.

I heard Humberto play in Auckland, NZ a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed his playing. Nice to find you are just as dedicated Humberto! Melchor is one of the greats.
