Myriad Pro is good for internet sites logos, helvetica for long web content, and georgia for books. Having lived in the Brandon area, 30 minutes from Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, I saw that garish font in an unexpected place. I went to the park and as I waited for SheiKra, I saw a couple of signs of that font, I sat on the ride, and saw the Comic Sans-riddled sign staring at my face! I enjoyed riding it, as it was very thrilling, but the signs just detract from the experience!
1. If everybody uses Comic Sans, it's just bad for the diversity in design, which makes things more boring.
2. If everybody likes fast food, it doesn't make the fast food healthy food. So if everybody likes comic sans ms, it doesn't make comic sans a good font.
I didn't really notice the whole comic sans thing until I saw all this "ban comic sans" stuff. After that, I've noticed that it really is, in fact, EVERYWHERE.
And yes, it is WAY overused -- my computer game design professor used it on all of his slides/webpages! This wasn't elementary school, either-- this was a COLLEGE PROFESSOR using COMIC SANS for everything!

What boggles my mind is that there's actually a husband & wife group that have made stickers and such & really trying to ban this thing with everything they have. It's kind of pathetic to me, I agree that it shouldn't be used for important documents as it wouldn't be taken seriously, but I by no means hate it. It's actually very good for advertising things for kids or more light hearted products. I just will never understand why people get their knickers in a twist over a font.

Using God in this context is misleading, especially if it is something if you don't believe in. Therefore your entire movie cannot be seen as serious. Such a foundation for your movie is much more inapropriate than the existence of Comic Sans itself.
Get a life ! Wory more about what affects you directly. A child dies every 4 hours from starvation and you care about banning a font ?

Sorry, I got the stats wrong. I felt that I did that so i rechecked. Guess what ? 4000 (FOUR THOUSAND) children die of starvation PER HOUR (60 minutes).

No the video was satirical but the problem is people like YOU don't realise how bad Comic Sans really is AND it says at the beginning of the video its alright if used in the right context (like only in COMIC books etc.) so I dont see the point in the whole 'ban the username' thing, why don't you go comment on something you actually KNOW something about and let the grown ups talk kiddo.
