Whoa Mendenhall better hold that job with a grip cuz This cat isn't play at 6-0 231 he is a beast and screw a 40 time he hits hard and outruns cbs and safeties from Fsu, Miami, Clemson, georgia all day..

@snoopydog48us at 7:27 Dwyer laid the hammer on that safety for MIAMI.... Damn this dwyer kid is strong, physical, great runner in between tackles and has surprising speed despite 4.6 combine and 4.52 pro day. I cant figure out why he got drafted so late.. i thought he would be 2-4th round for sure... I still think he can take that job from Mendyfall.... we will see

@untouchablemvj1982 Reason he got drafted so late is because the NFL is in more demand for shifty smaller RBs who are great at catching the ball.

@livingdeadbeat19, why do you think he will do that. He's a good enough runner to actually play RB, Hester didn't have good enough certain attributes to play RB or FB in the NFL. I think Dwyer might fall to us in the 2nd round and we can pick him up there and have him and cody.

@WVfootball57 true, but LT was THE best RB in the past decade. It was before Philip Rivers was established, and the running back position was... not expendable, but not dire either. Under Marty's system a downhill RB is key, under Norv, you just need a QB, which we have. Sproles was a round-4 and M. Turner was a round-5, and both were incredible draft values. Based on those experiences, I don't think AJ would be willing to--especially with the depth of this years RB class--get a 1st-round RB

AJ Smith will try to turn him into a Fullback if they draft him. First round, my guess is they'll draft DT Terrance Cody. AJ Smith is too frugal to spend a 1st rounder on an RB when there's so much depth in the RB draft class. The earliest I can see them spending a pick on an RB is if they trade down to the early second round and Ryan Matthews is still available.

Why would you say that? AJ has made LT the richest RB ever, franchised Sproles, given Sproles and Michael turner 1st/3rd round tenders, and traded a 2nd rounder to draft a RB (jacob Hester), to me that shows how much AJ values the RB position

i hope this guy shows up to NFL Scouting Combine lower than 235 lbs. with his weight there i would love to see what he can do for SAN DIEGO. keeping darren sproles behind Dwyer would be a great mix in the back field for the bolts.
