Back when York Peppermint Patties came in the loose foil coverings, about 1 in every 3 that I opened had maggots if I looked closely enough. In fact, I figured out that if you ever saw any sign of "shaved chocolate" in the wrapper, that was actually the debris from the maggot burrowing. It was very common to find them once I started looking, and since they were my mom's favorite candy, I saw them often.

I remember this, but the one I really remember is another woman who said something like "when *I* bite into a York Peppermint Patty..." (and then she'd get a bit too excited)

The reactions of those two woman are hysterical if you watch it over and over. Talk about bad acting.

@palebeachbum Uh--they were obviously directed to react that way. Not bad acting at all. You can tell by their precision reactions (how they look out and up at the same time). That's pretty common for commercials.
