if you beat Ridley without first beating Kraid, do you get stuck? i'm stuck, I cant do anything. after fighting Ridley, I need to have the speed running thingy, which I didnt get, so am I stuck? do I have to restart the whole game???

@SkankinDevil89 Not at all. You need to perform Wall-jumping...with one wall. Either that or practice better bomb jumping. Not joking, sadly. Practice, practice, but eventually, you will be able to climb back out of there without the Speed Booster.

Very very impressive.... although boring as hell.

I did the "same" thing on super metroid by killing Draygon without a scratch and no graple beam or missiles.

The bad thing of this fighting style is the looooooong time requiered.

And now, my triumphant return (my comment's still there?). I actually beat him by just running under him the whole time (ridley doen't attack if he can't see you), and frequently used charge beam. Now I can sit back and look at all 8 pretty pictures....

My hair hurts from just watching. VERY tense battle indeed, if it takes that long. Still, I think after seeing this, I'll give another crack at getting a less then 15% run to get those last ending pictures. Never got past him with 10 missiles and half an energy tank on hard.

I'm doing a moderate % run (got lazy and skipped some more annoying puzzles) on hard mode, and I happened to not have enough missles to take him down.

Generally by the time I get him to red, my ammo is gone and charge beaming kinda sucks.

An incredibly easy way of doing this is to(drumroll, please) STAND RIGHT BENEATH RIDLEY. He will remain airborne and cannot hit if you stand directly in line with his front leg. He will be just barely aboveyou and can't grab you, and can only hurt you by large fireballs, essential for regaining missles. You have to be a little quick, because he will flapping bak and forth and if you lag too much, you will smack into his tail. And if you fire too fast, he will begin to swing his tail and kill you

ow i remember this... though i did not have the ice beam xD and no powergrip xD yes that is possible don't arse with that's impossible cuz than ur gay just do endless bomb jump and you can go where ever you want. now back to ridley it took me a day to kill that ass xD damn took me long to find a perfect tactic xD i dodged his tail attacks with wall jumps, sticking myself to the ceiling that way xD now that i see this movie i think, wow damn I'm stupid this is way more easy than my way :Pgood job

I understand without the Ice Beam, but without the Power Grip? Isn't there some huge space slug or something blocking the passage until you pick it up? The slug might be blocking some other essential passage and I could be mistaken(I know it's necessary to pick up the Grip at some point...It's been months, as you see).

ah i knew some1 would ask about the power grip but there is a way. dunno where precise it was but you can skip the slug hanging on the ceiling. but it was a glitch with a bomb missle combo. I was able to drop through the floor. So yes it is possible but i geus it was luck :P

@elvampe13 Like i already said, it is possible by using minor glitches, like the bomb jump which can allow you to get to everyplace(not a real glitch just timing) and then using the missle to drop into on wall that blocks you or jump over something, it is possible, just hard. When something is hard that doesn't mean it can't be done ;)

@OnilinkHans No offense, but you're gonna have to show a video on youtube or describe in FULL detail or something, cause i have been through several websites that are popular with sequence breaking and stuff, and i have yet to see someone skip the power grip.

In Norfair there is a slime ball that blocks a path a few rooms to the right of the Norfair elevator, and NOTHING can go through it until you get the Power Grip, which for reasons unknown, makes the slime ball disappear.

@elvampe13 Like I already told, it has been a long time ago. Though i will try to explain. In the room with that orb alien slug thing blocking you bomb jump to the top of the room. Be sure to get real close to him, Now release morph ball and spam missiles towards the floor. When nearing the floor re-enter morphball just the moment you are about to hit the floor. Now you will drop in the floor and can roll past it. Note that it only worked once for me, so it was a glitch. Good Luck

@OnilinkHans Just to sum this up, you are asking people to perform a severe glitch, one that no one has heard of until now, in order to reduce the percentage by 1. You also were only able to pull off this only once a long time back, and coincidentally, you can't do this again on video or with proof in any form. I am not saying it's completely impossible, but I am saying you are asking for one heck of a leap. Could you please stop posting like crazy about it until you have some proof at all?

i played the game i got it if u wanna play this on computer go to dgemu. com to get the rom to get the gbs go to google and type in visualboy advance download and u will find it at the end of zero misson u shall have 2 fight metal ridley i think there is a hole in this body u have 2 shoot it with the super missles or stuff and evacuate immedietly so get the game and start playing
