  • i cant friggin wait till christmas. and props to the creator of these videos. i can see through each video how youve mastered this thing.

  • i cant friggin wait till christmas.

  • 5 mins of my life well spent :) good shit mann

  • I could spend hours playing with this thing.

    I gotta get one! (Christmas?)

    The drun solo was cool

  • awsome! !!!!!!

  • great performance.one question. I recently bought a KP3, and i notice your loops sound as if they are 2 measure instaid of the normal 16 beat leangth. my question is... do you just set the tempo to half tempo when recording.? or is there a way to use the software so it doesnt auto detect the tempo and cut my imported sound file in half?

    5/5

  • Maybe I misunderstood but why don't you just loop the...loop...twice in your sound file?

  • thank for the reply... i figured it out :) what did you use to record your sounds with? synths or software?

  • that sounds less fun

  • Thats really nice, well done

  • Well done! My KP3 came in today... so this video was a necessary pump up of excitement.

  • KP3 fOR SALE ALMOST NEW MOVITED SELLER

  • amazing retrig solo and break!!!!

  • love this so much, it sounds like sega rally music !!!! awesome!!!

  • All good bro, you've obviously spent time getting to know how to you it!!

I was having a look on your homepage - wondering what the rest of your set up is like?

  • That was amazing, Ive got just about enough money for a Kaoss do reckon there way worth it? I already got a microkorg and use ableton mostly, never gotten into samples

  • best part about your work with the KP3: good taste.

  • very nice

  • Damn, really nice. Best KP3 song I've seen so far I think!

    Really great :D

  • I must say.. this is truely astonishing

  • 320$ if you find hte right place

  • sick sick stuff bro i just picked one up tonight an im tryin to figure how to record using the Kp's sounds i figured out the to record of external pretty easy

  • This is my favorite of all your videos.

  • how much is this modal

that is some nice sound just for sampals

  • u can get it for 300-400$, u just need to find the place where to buy it.

  • Model. And Sample's.

  • what do u meen ?

  • pretty hot

  • dude, I want one!

  • Man, you created this usign only this Korg ?

  • now i want one! do you think it can live with a virus TI and a spectralis in sound quality?

  • Man, that was really sweet!!

  • this sounds so cool...

  • Could you use it like a scratchpad? (I mean is there an onboard effect that allows you to do that?)

  • What kind of format read the KAOSS PAD KP3 to play that samples?...

  • NICE!!! Makes me want to kill myself!

  • There's something about this technology that attracts boring musicians.

I anticipate a nice "well let's hear you make better" response to this comment.

  • well let's hear you make better :-)

  • yea a lot of generic electronic/dj type people use this stuff, but then again there are also a lot of experimental musicians who make really great music with samplers and the like. Check out Gang Gang Dance, Yeasayer, Animal Collective, Black Dice, Excepter, etc.

  • Don't forget Radiohead!

  • fucking right radiohead!!

  • and 65daysofstatic

  • yeah mostly bands into noise and ambient stuff not so much dj or dance stuff cause it really is just boring

  • good fuckin job man!

  • sheeeeeesh haha

  • smokin!! what do U think for a drummer??? is there a way to start and end sample loop with foot switch...

  • The Roland SP-555 can, but I'm sure the Kaoss Pad 3 can too.

  • no its not possible

  • Off course it is possible. You can send MIDI data to the Korg Kaoss Pad 3 and start samples that way. The SP-555 also has MIDI in and out and even has a special 'footswitch' input to start the loop-capture and so on.

  • NICE!!! Makes me wanna snowboard!

  • I'm getting one of these, when i get some money.

I'm hopefully gonna use it to sort of compliment my band, but i well want to be able to do this sort of stuff.

  • yeah, im gonna buy it for use in a band too

  • to PAULPANCAKE: Violin, piano and organs are not effects they are instruments my friend :D and no the KAOSS PAD 3 does not have them, the only instrument it has is a Drum Machine that isnt that good and youll probablly never use..Yes u can do a LINE IN for other hardware and isntruments and it is not a recorder its just a sampler and effects procesor

  • Right at the beginning of the video, your hand is high above the unit, fingers spread and shaking. Is that reiki or something you do before a performance?

  • I think this is the first, and will probably be the last, time I've seen Reiki used in reference to a musical sampler.

  • I was thinking of purchasing the Korg Kaoss Pad KP3 and it seems like you know a lot so I wanted to ask you:

Does it have effects that don't sound so techno like violin, piano, or organs? A more "real" sound.

Can you have a line in, for example plugging in a guitar and adding effects so theres delays, flanges or other sounds?

How can you remix a song, or if not, how do others?

    Thanks, response appreciated.

  • arghh, i love my kp3!!!! the things like an instroment and im nt very gd! this guys amazin tho

  • u can onli get 16 beat loops

  • Yeah I thought that was the case.

    Cheers anyway.

  • u can play da whole track thru da pad but not on da pad simply play da muse track on a cd player or pc and plug it in2 da LINE IN INPUT on da bac of pad then av ur line out 2 hi/fi or amp speakers woteva

  • Are these sounds some presets of the KP3?

Ces sons sont-ils des presets du KP3?

  • Probably not but even if they aren't they still wouldn't be that hard to manipulate since the Kaoss pad is a great machine

  • no there not presets, (as far as i know), you can create the tunes (it has a kind of built in synthesizer) but I dont think you can create the drums, u can create some drums tho

  • i want one SO bad

  • omg DJ ownage

  • what is the genre of this kinda music?

  • awesumm very euphoric!!

  • very nice! like it alot! :) keep it up!

  • AHAAHAH! Absolutely loved your breakdown at 3:08. It's amazing what you can do with four samples. I'm so stoked to add this to my gear. Should be in Thursday~

  • Reminds me of that Bacardi Mojito commercial where the guy is making the mojito and when he stops the music stops...awesome man I want one now so I can hook that up with my X50!

  • Great mix, can't help but tap to the beat :)

Can I ask any of you KP3 users that see this, do you make your samples or do you get them somewhere? If you make them, how do you do it, and if you get them, could you give a future KP3 owner some links/help? Thanks in advance.

  • you can use software like albeton live, but I use mainly FL Studio, you can also record your own, sometimes this can be the best option, (pressing shift/bpm tap makes the samples in time with the input and the other samples) but as far as I know there is no site to easily download samples from, if anyone finds one could you let me/us know?

  • Thanks for the reply, I actually went for the "record it yourself" option since I got new keyboards and I've already got recording software on my Mac. It seems for composers that's actually the best option. As for free samples, there are some samples sprinkled around the net which Google would be able to find quite easily.

  • NICE!!!

    Makes me wanna snowboard! =)

  • you're a fuckin god amongst kp3 users

  • that was the ill drum solo

  • la magnfique !!!!

  • hey, can i take one of these and run a Casio Privia through it via MIDI and then use the samples from the KP3 as sounds on my piano? (i'm a bit of a newbie at this, and our school ordered the wrong freakin pianos...i asked for RS-70s)

  • amazing control over the phaser... but the tone is pretty gritty. works well for break beat and some other applications, i'm sure. one consequence of developing all of these digital tools is that we are gaining a tolerance or even a taste for all the choppiness and clicks and pops they sometimes make in switching. i haven't decided if i like that idea or not yet... sometimes i do.

  • awesome mate, absolutely awesome

  • Thanks, ActionCamp. That sux, doesn't it? cos m-audio controller mixers are not very analogue and they're expensive...

  • wow, looks like you have to really know the grooves inside-out to play with them like that. Can you get Korg to send you a second one to play side by side, or find a mate with one to jam together????

  • Korg should give you commission for sales of KP3! I ordered one after I started to watch your vids.

Is that a Yamaha MW12 with USB on the left? If yes, do you know if it works with Pro Tools?

  • i will be having a home party soon if i can do this~~~

  • Devil inside ... Awesome!!!

  • alright i likes im gonna get mines soon but can u convert it to mp3 wav file n put it in that kp3 or the other way around.. hit me back up

  • iwant
