  • ???? can i be pilot with short sighted

  • @CultOfPersonality90 yes, if you can use correct lenses. If not you might have some problems

  • @NZBOY20 im sorry but what correct lenses mean ?l

  • @CultOfPersonality90 Glasses or Contacts Lenses either one will work or if you get eye surgery

  • boeing 757

  • Im a chopper gunner and ac130 pilot.

  • I'm an A320 Family pilot. :-)

  • @devrajvarma hey ummm could u give me some tips about becoming one? i really want to become a pilot but i also have a love for music and every 1 keeps saying i cant do both..

  • noone made a video about a pilot's wife life :P

  • Most of this looks like the life of a ramp worker

  • music for my ears!!!

  • is it ok if you are blind...

    JKS

  • hey , im deaf in one ear and my other ear is fine. Is that a problem to become a pilot ?

  • The only thing that makes me nervous wanting to go into this career is that I have glasses... I would reallly reallly like to be pilot but how do i really know if its the right career choice for me

  • Pilot: Do you know how to fly ?

Student: Yeah yeah i learned from the internet

  • What course you need to be a pilot like in this video?

reply please i live here in Philippines

  • dose it take a crap load of seed money to b a regional pilot

  • Starting my training late this year/early next year. I cannot wait.

  • Hey anyone like me who wants to be a pilot DON'T LET PEOPLE BRING YOU DOWN if you do then your just as dumb as the person telling you not to. DON"T give up on your dream -NATE52097

  • delta is awesome airline ; hope it never goes bust.

  • A Pilot’s life…4mins 44sec, I’ll stay on the ground.

  • I hope I will be a Pilot in the Future :)

  • Funny. i did not see a single pilot in all that clip !!

  • i want 2 be a pilot someday..

  • @captainpropilot It depends on the regulations of each airline but MAE will allow to to become a student pilot.

  • @steveoh2395 yea that sucks my little brother is slightly color blind with red and green but it doesnt matter he doesnt wanna be a pilot anyway :)

  • I am a pilot

  • @SuperToby456 awsome!

  • Yo Ho, Yo Ho, it's a Pilot's life for me!

  • I think that is just a shame, that nowadays people do not realize anymore the opportunity to fly. It was our dream and we realized it years ago. We should cherish this big success, and value the job of a pilot. Because it is with passion and effort we pilots realize our big dream to fly.

  • people arent pilots for the money, and if they are they shouldnt be a pilot. Fast food restaurant managers in the states make more money then regional pilots. The reason you fly is because its your passion

  • @MrTillster MD (difference is its a longer version w/ mods of the dc by boeing)

  • Money is a problem for all

  • @steveoh2395

Yes. It's part of the medical process.

  • check with a medical examiner first, their are a few types of color blind people. I know a handful of commercial pilots that are color blind

  • @Southerncowboyz in medical process do you get needle's?

  • @Southerncowboyz can you still do comercial if you have glasses??

  • @1Filmproducer Yes, but up to a point. You'll have to wear glasses and have a spare set ready just in case.

  • @TheBilenkas nie thanks

  • @Southerncowboyz so if someone is color blind, he can be a pilot only when god come down and help?

  • @graexdon i mean no really color blind its just red green defiency?

  • @steveoh2395

If you'r color blind you cant become an airliner pilot

  • @steveoh2395

It may keep you from getting to be the captain on a huge airliner, but you can still obtain a private pilot license.

  • @steveoh2395 yes, to add on to what Southerncowboyz said, lights on runways have different colors to show which way you are supposed to land. or on an airplane, there are different colored lights on each side to show which way the plane is going.

  • @coolcarman555 ya i get that im just mad because my deficiancy is that i cant tell the dif between blue and purlple :(

  • @steveoh2395

From FSDO You can get Soda like special permission.

  • @steveoh2395 Only if you can't see the difference between red and green.

  • @plane63 thank you

  • @steveoh2395 No worries. If you have trouble getting a medical from the FAA I would do some research on the material the AOPA offers, it may be able to help you. There are also many other career tracks in aviation other than being a pilot. Good luck!

  • @steveoh2395 Ya you can't be a pilot if your colour blind

  • @steveoh2395 - when I was driving a cab and working on my PPL I met a retired airline pilot who was color-blind. At least that's what he said. Makes sense, the only time you'd need perfect vision in regards to color is if you lost comm and had to resort to looking for the light gun from the folks in the tower.

  • @GingBread almost all the lighting system. Runway endig/treshold lights are red/green and some glide paths indicators also. Same as wingtip navigation lights. Anyway I dont know wat the real problem with seing two colors inverted is. I mean ok maybe someone calls what is green to him "red", but the other guy will hear "red" and associate with the red color so no damage done. I wonder what the real reason is.

  • @steveoh2395

unfortunately for you, yes it is important that airline pilots or even general aviation pilots are not colour blind because alot of things in this industry are based on colour

  • @steveoh2395 im sorry if you are you cant be a colorblind pilot..

  • Beautiful

  • Most of the time you will never succeed in a job if you don't have any passion for it. If you love something you pay is least important thing to be worried about. I in the near future would like to become to pilot to experience what most people don't see in their lives. (quoting matt98stang here).

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot yea, my friend is doing college and flight school at the same time and hes doing good, so ill do that

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot school is easy man

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot and i want to be a pilot so bad it almost hurts, its not all about the money

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot yea but im competing with my cousin on who will get richer first, like we already have big houses in kendall, florida but those are our parents houses, we want our own before 20 years flying!

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot dude, i have a question, is it 3,500 multi turbine engine hours to apply for a major airline like southwest or jetble? or 1,000 multi turbine engine hours...please responed!

  • a life i hope to get to in a minimum of 10 years, right now im 14 yrs old, and the only and the last job i will ever have is being an airline pilot, i will go to work everyday with my chin held up REALLY high knowing that my job is awesome and only a few men and women get to experience it!.......PS i want to fly for jetblue, or delta/NWA so i can get enough seniority to fly the beloved B777 thats my life long goal, to be able to fly that beast for a living.

  • A life that I hope I get to in 5 years. :)

  • @Apollo580 so I do! 5 years. Then flying or crying :)

  • @Apollo580 Me TOO!!! Starting this Fall at Falcon Field, Mesa, AZ 2011. CAN'T WAIT! As long as I have enough to live by, it'll be perfect.

I'm ready for the hard work involved!

  • @Coffeeman19 Awesome! I start this fall at CWU. Good luck man. Hope to see you on the flight line someday.

    : )

  • @Apollo580 its one hell of a rough job... you have to LOVE it to be in it... you'll understand when you start to get your certificates...

  • @Apollo580

Give it up NOW! Before it's too late! It is NOT worth it. Find a real job, that rewards you with real pay. Have a real dinner with your real family everynight, and go to bed in your real bed.

Don't be dumb enough to do this for what it takes to get there, there is no payoff.

I made that mistake, I'm trying to help you to not do the same.

  • @flyinbriyin It's still my goal. I know it sucks and the pay isn't great. But to me, it's better than sitting behind a desk and wonder what it might have been like. And I don't have to be a commercial pilot. I can be a pilot for something else. Either way. I want to fly and there is nothing that is going to keep me from doing so.

  • @flyinbriyin Why dont you american pilots go try fy in the middle east or asian south east. I heard it pays really well.

  • @DreamVikings because they are shit thats why no body accepts them. Qantas pays for top pilot half million:)

  • @leon6266 I dont know what u mean half a milion. I suppose thats in a year. 40.000 a month?

Shit = Unexperienced? Some of those airlines are looking for people w 1.500 hours in A-320 for SIC and im sure they pay real well. Im sure an american pilot flying domestic flights for 5 years has already what is required to go make some money overseas. Plus they are native english speakers. For us latins u need ICAO english rating and many dont have it. Americans on the other hand are native.

  • @flyinbriyin thats ur opinion mate.everyone has its own dream

  • @Apollo580 Good Luck To You My Friend.

  • Better yet, you can become a cop at the airport and make the same amount of money.

  • Delta has russain plane??

  • Much love for the 737 classics.

  • 3:25 arnt you supposed to leave two airplane spaces between you and the aircraft infront of you?

  • 3:28, overspeed or what?

  • go to 0:42

  • YEA DELTA

  • that delta plane is a MD plane??

  • is it a must to know physics n maths?

  • @coolsuh it is a must to know math. but only sometimes physics

  • @assanoe ok is O LEVEL OR A LEVEL

  • @coolsuh Yes.

  • where do people actually have it, that planes constantly dump fuel?! It's only done in extremely rare cases, if there is no other option left and even that only above water. And another thing that so many believe, is that they dump their toilets inflight! Where do people get this from?! And why do so many believe it?

  • @JSAirways From such places as comedy movies such as "Joe Dirt".

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot There I took your real name off. You gonna' beat a kid up then?

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we enjoy to hear the high pitch noise of jet engines?

    (2) Why do we love commercial flying?

    (3) Why do many of us want to be pilot?

    (4) What is the reason behind that less females want to be pilot than males?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • @applesweeter

1- Inside the plane it isnt a high pitch

2- Because we are already past security

    3- Because desk jobs suck

4- Its called a cockpit for a reason

I love being a pilot and couldn't imagine doing anything else with my life.

"If it aint Boeing, I aint going!"

  • @sfc7267

About question 1, the 747-100 & 747-200 has high pitch from its engines.

About question 2, why does its related to "passing security"?

About question 4, can you futher explain the meaning of "Its called a cockpit for a reason"?

Moreover, why do you prefer to fly only Boeing's aeroplanes?

  • @applesweeter

1- nobody in their right mind would fly those old 747's

2- It is enjoyable because once one is past security the flying experience becomes exponentially more enjoyable.

4- Its called a cockpit for a reason, cockpit, meaning no vaginas should be allowed.

Boeing's airplanes havent crashed 3 days after they roll off the production line. Type in Air France 296 in youtube for the illustrated version. Additionally, I as a pilot, dont trust the computer on the "scare-bus"

  • I am not going to go commercial because of the high cost of training and low pay for pilots! It is a vain dumb career

  • @EF2000CanFly

Im going to go commercial because I love flying, and I dont care what Im getting paid if they're paying me to effectively have fun

  • @carde028

YOu will see. It will get boring like anything else..... that is if you get a job

  • Divert Everyone's Luggage Through Atlanta

  • Well, by the looks of this I'd say this is Hartsfield International in my hometown Atlanta, GA.

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love flying?

    (2) Why do we love to become pilot?

    (3) Why do manay people want to get a job related to aviation?

    (4) Why do femlae prefer to be flight attendents than to be pilots?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • @applesweeter

Probably for some reason like this one.... just see my day at Gmbasso channel

    gopro on an Airbus 320

  • Belles images!!

  • gotta love the sound of those JT-8s at 0:55!!!! <3

  • more like an airplane life

  • Comment removed

  • The American at 4:20 is a Boeing 757 I think its a B757-200

  • @killabb24 yes thats a 200 :)

  • do these planes look funny to any one else. (the very first one) they look like they would be nose heavy

  • @ryanjordansara

MD-80s look like that, they are not nose heavy..I mean they could be, but thats the way an MD-80 looks like

  • ahah there is a tough slope at 4:20 for this boeing 737 (I know, bad joke...)

  • i think it's a 757

  • haha okay, I'm not an expert sorry

  • I think its a 757 at 4:20.

  • @Lanny615

    It is.

  • the best routine in the world!!!!

  • what types of aircrafts do u usually fly??

  • MAN u r the most luckuyy

  • Nice video man? How are you liking the airline pilot life? I'm working on my Commercial and am hoping to become a future airline pilot myself, been a life long dream.

  • Cool!

  • I love my job, dude. I have a life. Been out riding the Harley ALLLL morning long. You have a good one.

  • @Southerncowboyz is it hard flying like do u have to know maths phyisics.plzz reply its important.

  • @coolsuh It depends, if this is what you really want and you work and study with all of your heart and desire than it is no problem. However, if you are too lazy to study until you learn it than that says your heart is not into it so you should not pursue it.

  • @Southerncowboyz Hey are you real commercial airliner pilot? I have some questions if you are since this might be a profession I have in mind doing.

    1. I am slightly colourblind (done some tests but never asked any doctor of any kind)

    2. Do you make much money? (I know money can't buy happiness, money IS HAPPINESS)

    3. Does it cost much if you study for it, I've heard it does :S

    4. Do you have time for family, friends etc or is it to much of a 'flying' job?

    Thanks

  • @oogeer sight is a key thing in flying idk how far they will let be colorblind but i do know you have to have 20/20 vision with or with out glasses

while it makes money u have to have a real passion like me i want to be a commercial pilot so bad it hurts to know i have 2 years left of high school before aviation college but i'm getting my privates liecance now

and schooling does cost a lot more then most also a lot more studying

you will have time for flying with friends once you getthere

  • most pilots have a really good life, and get to experience things most people never get to.

  • not the regional pilots they barely get paid anything and they bareley get any sleep

  • @busestudios Yeah in the US aviation really sux because of the amount of pilots and the the amount that will fly for nothing.

  • @matt98stang more or less. when you start the career, given you didn't come from the military and just got your CPL from say Arizona State Uni and work for Mesa cuz thats what your qualified for, its not that great. i have a co-worker who's brother is a pilot, he's been flying for about 25 years, now flying w/ AA but when he started, first 11 years were rough with regionals working 90 hour weeks and low pay

is it a bad life, by no means, but it should be better for their level of profesionalism

  • @matt98stang Yep. Fly!

  • why

  • damn!

  • Does anyone know if AOPA membership is free? Or Civil Air Patrol?

  • I was the guy that you replied your comment to (about joining the AOPA, EAA, etc.). I'm also an AOPA member. AOPA membership isn't free, but it's a non-profit organization. I think for two decades their membership dues have remained to be $39 per year, but you can get a 6 month trial for free (6 issues of their Flight Training magazine + all online membership access including the forums, flight planning, Project Pilot Mentor program, etc.). AOPA's also the largest GA pilot org in the world.

  • I am an AOPA member and was a CAP member for a while to get my glider rating. AOPA is $38/year when you join online, I believe. CAP is something like 80 a year

  • This gives me inspiration

  • hi , im training to became a pilot i can now finally fly single probs . but my dream is to fly big heavy or even an fightjet . iam going threw RAF because its much much cheaper :) . after that i hope ill get in as a airline pilot:)

  • How did u start your career? and how old do u have to be to a a prop pilot? I'm 13 and ever since I was 7 im crazy about planes. Could ya tell me where we can train in dfw?

  • im only 16 lol i just went threw the air training corps aircadets and done my flyin scolership in gliders to :) u can joing aircadets when you 13 i think :) but i dont think the USA have it :(

  • the U.S. has a lot of resources for young, aspiring pilots. The AOPA is one resource, and the EAA Young Eagles is certainly another. :)

  • cool in the Uk we have somthing like ATC ( air training corps) :) ! and solo with single pistons!

  • Don't forget CAP.

Unfortunately, my parents won't let me do any of them. I ordered a CAP information form and when they saw that it came from an AFB, they just threw it out.

But of course they're letting my brother apply to West Point.

  • Yes you're definitely right on that, I almost forgot. CAP does have a "cadet" program for those under 18.

  • hey,im juzt 14 and i want to become a pilot when im older so...can u help me out with tat? like what do i need to do achieve my dream :D and whats RAF?

  • okay RAF is Royal Air Force . im in the united kingdon and what we have here is somthing called ATC ( air training coprs ) which is only £5 a month :) . and what contry u in . i dont think the USA have the Air training Corps

Btw air training corps if for people only 13 to 21 i think :)

  • oh im in canada and here we have something called air cadets which is free :)

  • lol just do that when u get older you can do solo in glider and solo in pistion which is great:)

  • yeeee but how do i get my private pilot licene and the other license btw add me :)

  • Good luck to you.

I am training to get my private pilot license. I hope to do the same like you.

  • thanks! :) i hope you get your license to.

  • I love flying the heavys but I love it when I get home to my young family. Ages 2 and 4. When gone for five and six days straight a few times a month, they look older when you get home. I don't even think about work when I get home. No regrets but it does turn into a job, a job I love.

  • Lots of great Delta video. Thanks for supporting my favorite airline...and my employer. I love being an international Detla pilot, although the golden days of aviation are gone.

  • we salute you who are pilots. God bless you for taking good care of us!

  • At 3:11, that's a plane dumping fuel, right?

I always thought it was a space shuttle....

  • Contrails. Not dumping fuel.

  • @Southerncowboyz chemtrails
