Wow! I have looked long and hard for stuff like this on YouTube, and anywhere else I can find it, and very little modular synth improv stuff is nearly this good. marsupialmicron hit the nail on the head. Most "improvs" tend toward being very straightforward, and letting the sequencer run ad nauseum. The few that venture out of excessively repetitive sequencing rarely sound this interesting. Excellent! Curious if you prepared for this much. More like this, and thanks for sharing!
@jrichetta Thanks very much!! The prep was just in patching and setting up the sequencer rows and having Volta send out some trigger streams that everything is sync'd to. This one had a few syncopation happy accidents where everything fell together into some interesting cross-rhythms. Sometimes you get luckier than others! So glad people enjoy some of these since I'm just having fun doing my thing.
Thanks very much! I don't mind the old guy dancing around jokes at all. This is fun-based enjoy-seeking stuff. Enjoy-seeking is underrated. That should be like our mainest thing I think. Have fun with your knobs everybody whatever shape they are.
Excellent! Lots of cool stuff happening! Many cool and lustable toys. You still need a Klee sequencer - you'd be truly dangerous with one of those! I love the texture at about 4:00 - and it stays really good for a while after that. I should probably comment on the "old white guy sort of dancing around while playing the modular" thing - I never do that. Nope. Keep up the good work Doctor!
