The real people played here: Teresa Sykes, attacked in Huddersfield Nov 1979. Police wouldn't admit it was the Ripper for yrs. Jimmy Fury, her partner/baby's dad. He heard her cries, chased Sutcliffe but lost him. The attack ended their relationship-Teresa was too nervous to be alone with men.
The Sykes attack was not in the ripper frame at the time of Sutcliffe's arrest because the cops knew this was the work of Sutcliffe who they knew to be a copycat killer whom they had definitivily eliminated many times. They were much more interested in getting their hands on the real Ripper but in the end Sutcliffe was arrested by the south yorkshire police who didnt know the real story about this nutter.
Unfortunately, as far as I know, this video is not available to buy ANYWHERE. The only reason I have these clips is a fellow Dom fan happened to be browsing around her TV channels and saw this film was going to air. Thankfully she was able to record it and preserve these few clips for us. But yeah, I dunno why it's so hard to find, it's a shame as I wouldn't mind seeing the film myself :(
I remember it being really good. The period detail in particular was superb, brought back memories of being a young kid when the story seemed to dominate the news headlines for months.

Isn't it? It's a shame he didn't have a larger role in the film.
