Please don't make a difference. The silver bullet theory, is not true. Myself and my friends have all played violent video games since a young age. Myself and friends have never had a physical confrontation in my life. When I was a child I was allowed to watch M movies with my Dad prior to the age limit on them. But it was ok, so long as I understood it was just a movie, I don't think it ever caused me any harm. A bit of Die Hard or Rambo didn't hurt me.

Yeah, because a rated-M game with 'Blood and Gore', 'Intense Violence', 'Sexual Content', 'Strong Language', and 'Use of Drugs' all clearly labled on the back of the case are so misleading, and it is, of course, totally not the parents fault for not noticing that, especially when 90% of the time that when someone is buying a rated-M game for their kid that the cashier asks "Are you aware of the games rating of Mature 17+?" It's obviously the gaming industries fault. Idiot politicians.

Idiots. M-rated games are not misleading. They are the same as R-rated movies. AO games have mostly been actual porn games. San Andreas became AO only because it was hacked and people bitched about terrible looking, pixelated nude women getting fucked by a fully clothed man. The parents are at fault. 500 years ago people were slaughtered and killed all the time, and no one batted an eye. In the late thirties and early forties Hitler and the Nazis killed over 6 million people. Were violent games available back then? No. In civilized countries like those in North America, Europe, and Eastern Asia where videogames are readily available, there is much less violent crimes than in 3rd world countries where entertainment comes from playing Ball-In-A-Cup.

He seems to be under the illusion that kids, and all gamers alike cannot distinguish between the game and the real world. Yes they have inaccurate info the system. The games are being overrated and they only live the game because they hate the world they are in. So we should take the kids away from the parents if they live the game because they are not happy. You don't understand how we think. Games can help us learn many useful skills not taught in school. I think they should just prevent retailers to sell those games to kids. There is no law for that and people dont want the "government" to interfere. What would be different if the government passed such a law? Those games could still be made. I dont see a problem. Its also not censorship.
