Wow I left this game back in May after playing for 6 months, I regretted grinding day in and out and waiting for the expansion, I feel sorry for these players. Game still looks broken and looks like they hardly updated shit, and frankly I refuse to grind one more single skill, DF killed that fun for me. Have fun being milked.

@evilanton These days internet is dirt cheap, you can add 50-200gb to your plan for like $10-20 on top of what you are already playing. As for availability, the whole world had trouble purchasing it at the start but since then its fine. As for lag, I had 350Ms ping on eu, which sucked, but you can get 180ping with internodes gaming profile from melbourne, or from 200-240ms ping around the rest of the country. If you lookup DF forums or whirlpool you can get more technical info. Great game

I think the demon fight would've been better if the lava glowed and emitted a bit of light on the player's and landscape but other than that, great vid.

Meh I'm a noob to darkfall and I played for a few weeks but I can't really get into the game at this point everyone is too high and im too low I got no chance and I don't wanna grind 5 months to get to the good stuff no I'm just gonna wait for darkfall 2010 and maybe even a new server..
@lordwouter7 If you play with other people you really don't need to worry about being too low. I have a pretty high end char (played since launch) and still usually get rolled in solo PvP because I suck, but I still have loads of fun in groups and doing other things.
You just have to understand that you'll never be the best on the server (well not for a long time anyway)
I made a new character with my friend and were having a blast doing everything together, skilling up quite quickly and even pvping at low levels.
If your a genuinely new person remember you can always find lol level / newbie pvp at other races newbie zones! Also 2 low level characters with team work can kill a veteran player!
@pyrokiddie PVP games are highly competitive. Telling someone just starting out "hey, you will never be the best, unless you spend a year grinding like a zombie" is not the way to attract new players. No one likes to be a huge underdog just because they started late, they rather not start at all.

@pyrokiddie haha noway 2 low lvls can kill a veteran :) we tried the one we attacked was alot higher with low gear we got him on half but he kept healing with magic and had a larger mana pool that both of us did we were completely wiped out when our mana dropped to 0
@pyrokiddie we were playing about 5 weeks ^^ it was fun sure but then we lost 2 horses full scale my last regeants and my weapon and.. the fun stopped ^^ If the expension is really good i will start with a new character
@lordwouter7 Yeah thats darkfall for ya, if you played long enough you'd eventually get used to it. Look at it this way mount's, weapons ,reagent's, and armor are a dime a dozen. And eventually your going to break them if you don't die first. Heck i've gone and used 300 dura in a day thats a few weapons and gear worth of durability, but it's all easy to get back. And yes you will feel demoralized after losing but when I lose I just pick myself back up and keep going

also dude you need to get out of the mentality of grind grind grind for ages and then you can do stuff... you can do stuff from day one. PvE is fun now... dungeons are fun. Man even gathering is fun if your sitting in vent with some mates having a laugh.
If you pve with melee weapons and dont just stare at your skill gains, after an hour or so you'll be pleaseantly suprised
i know what you mean but it all pays off... i live for those kills i get against all the odds and loot 3 gearbags at once :P (like i remember getting the drop on three guys that had been pveing for like 2 hours and i got about 250k worth of loot in one go...
although i dont wanna scare people off.. if you take big risks you get big rewards and the only way to get better is to keep playing - its sensless to make a new char.
@lordwouter7 thats the main problem the game has. It was advertised at launch as a skill based game, where time spent playing wouldn't give you too much of an advantage over the other and being successful would depends on how skillful of a player you are.
But that's not the case at all and I would never go back to it at this point, where most of the veterans characters are so strong I'd have to spend half a year of catching up just to maybe get on an even playing field.
@lordwouter7 I would join a clan if i where you.... Really helps alot and you can easily be helpful in Kraken kills as ship repair or cannon shooter. And then just play the game. Its amazing and if you cant handle the world out there, bring some clanmates :) It should be possible.

Wow I left this game back in May after playing for 6 months, I regretted grinding day in and out and waiting for the expansion, I feel sorry for these players.
