  • I LOVE this routine! It's beautiful and just fun. :) And it looks like all of the judges watching are smiling.

  • wait... the music... it's Don Quixote from BALLET

the first song is the male variation from Act 3

the second song is Kitri's Entrance from Act 1

  • Some gymnasts look so forced doing this but cheng fei makes it look soo natural

  • The judge at the corner smiles, it is so good...

  • One of the best floor routine ever since she matches huge difficulties and beautiful dance and execution

  • @LoveGym96 Christine who was commenting here, said it was the best routine since Podkopayeva, and comparing to Podkopayevas floor is really saying something. This routine is simply breathtaking, the choreography, artistry, immense difficulty and perfect down-to-toepoint execution.

  • @bernardmvella 100 percent agree...I hate that the judges were so crazy in 2004.

  • I loved this routine and I really like her music!!

  • current chinese gymnast take note..this is a floor routine with variety.

  • Wow, what a tiny powerhouse at this point, sheer magic, and very moving. There's something so direct and pure about this, and her skills, my God!!

  • You can see at 1:02 she looks at the judge in the corner and the judge smiles :)

  • OMG ROBBED!@

  • you could see her putting her heart and soul into this routine. I do think it should have scored higher than Ponor's...

  • I look at her hear and she looks a bit small but you see her in 2008 and your like WOW she has grown. Muscle muscle muscle.

  • I think it should be a 10.00 for her score. Do you agree?

  • she is so cute here and love her smile :)

  • She looks so young!

  • She is so little and cute! She is so young here.

  • I never did like Catalina Ponor. She had high difficulty but her skills were ungraceful and her lines were not great. Cheng should have won a medal here

  • @apluskel

did you read the title of this video? Really? It's Team final, not Event final. Considering this, how could Cheng won a individual medal against Ponor in a team competition? I didn't make any sense. Guess what? So do you!

  • @cooasha Don't act like a spoiled teenager - when I say 'HERE' I meant at the Olympic games. Ponor DID medal in the event finals and Fei did not

  • lol its usually ex-gymnast that are the judges, so its all about experiences they had at the olympics. If you where a romanian gymnast that the 1996 olympics, you would naturally score American gymnast lower just from your past experience. Its all to common which is why they tried to switch up the scoring.

  • the US judges robbed the Chinese at this olympics, fucking disgraceful cheating foul cunts that they are

  • She was so pretty

  • this was one of the best floor routines in history!

  • A good attitude makes all the difference.

  • i love you so much!!!!

    Cheng Fei =)

  • This is truly amazing.

  • She is great. I love her attitude. Goooo Cheung :D

  • Her best FX routine...such great artistry and expression.

  • what was her score?

  • @ginastasdaelite 9.662 in team final

  • Only a 9.662..? HhhhMmm.. This is tons better than Ponor's EF routine that scored a massive 9.750 which i truly dun understand since cheng had much more difficulty and better execution..

  • @Swankdor I suspect the "low" score is partly due to the fact that she didn't have any decent scores to build on. Both gymnasts who went up before her had a fall - and sadly this does affect the judges' scoring slightly.

  • @fruityliciousrhubarb I think the Chinese women are talented gymnasts. I was shocked with their 5 falls that night. I never thought they'd fall apart like they did and it still mystifies me as to why. Btw...you don't know where I could find Wang Tiantian and Zhang Nan's FX routines from the TF do you?

  • @Swankdor I think it's a lot to do with reputation...the judges are swayed by that a lot of the time which is unfair and annoying

  • @Swankdor I think it's cause of the dance elements. But I agree with you, Fei's routine was much better.

  • wONDERFUL

  • i really like her dance and music here!

    what's the music called?

  • is one part the ballet don quixote, beautiful!

  • yeah she deserve more but the penality was for the firs jump, =\

  • I can't believe she received the same score as Carly in the team final.

Cheng's routine obviously had better execution/difficulty and, of course, music

  • yeah I think she should receive at least a 9.7.

  • I'd score her a 9.9 if I were the judge! so clean throughout the routine. the triple twist is reminiscent of kohei uchimura's lol.

chereography-wise this routine is ten times better than her beijing routine, which is a pity because I like her beijing music. her whip-triple is a highlight though

  • sqekcx, her beijing routine was choegraphed to fit the chinese theme - it included a lot of chinese opera elements to appeal to the tastes of audience wanting to see more of chinese culture. :)

i personally like both routines, though her 2004 fx does bring out her personality better :) and she smiled a lot more during her routine back then.

  • She was robbed off a medal =/

  • I agree. even with her OOb, she was much better than Moreno.

  • Agreed! =]

  • I love her dance. It is energetic, and it suited her at that time. Also, her double double is always so amazing.

  • yeah and the passion she has for it is unreal!!

i hope she is in 2012!!

  • Her routine was, but she didnt perform in in the EF of what she was capable her in the TF.

  • It was still better than Morenos

  • i mean..wow.....art!

  • just wow......

  • Cute; cute; cute;

  • what was her score? all her landings and form is so great. i was so glad to see that she kept this same graceful and powerful way of performing on to beijing

  • Yea. Remind me again why a routine with that skill level and done so gracefully did not medal?

  • i remember it was said that she stepped on or out of the white line.....so it deducted her marks...cant get the medal...

  • o have no idea. im stumped. better than all the rest. certainley better form than ponors! i think. !

  • she's 16 and short

  • Remind me again why she did not medal with that skill level and form compare to the ones who did medal?

  • oh she's fantastic n cute............!

  • She's so cute *_*

  • wow

  • ye she is only 16 here.

  • She wasn't 18 in Athens, she was 16. This video is from Athens.

  • that is a great routine and she did it so well. I hope I'll still see her in 2008 Olympics.

  • Not actually a song, it's the music from the ballet "Don Quixote" by Ludwig Minkus. The first part is Basil's variation(Grand Pas de Deux Final) and the second one is Kitri's variation from Act I. Gr8 stuff!! Go get it now Stinkyfart!!!

  • Thank you for the information. I knew it sounded familiar.

  • Anytime!

  • haha yeh she looks about 10 but she is actually 18! hard 2 bleive i no but its tru! lol

  • I LOVE this program. She does look to be only 10. I have a question. What is the name of this song? It's driving me insane. I know I've heard it before but can't remember where.

  • It's from the ballet Don Quixote :)

  • the triple full was insane!

  • she looks so young

  • wow.....she looks like she's 10

  • holy fuck how old is she?!
