this might be a dumb question but I can't get past the first 20 seconds of instructions... I can do a chain 3 and then join, then chain 1, but then I don't understand how you can do 12sc around the loop of only 4, without adding any more chains. I end up with a square shaped tunnel basically. And the video is not helping... I'm so confused!
I have learned a lot watching this video. Do you by any chance have a video which demonstrates how to join two amigurumi shapes together (head to body when both parts are open at the end?
Have you seen how those ladies will wrap the yarn around their fingers and then crochet around it to start their amigurumi ? It's insane, I couldn't figure it out.
I have seen it. They are just crocheting over the thread and then pulling it tight when they get their first row done. I like to chain myself. You can start it how ever you want to start it if you are more comfortable doing it that way.

You can make crochet just about any shape. I made up this pattern. I would imagine some others have done similar crochet skills.
