i would think tht the marines would need every option available to them sense there up againts species tht have way more advanced technoligie then them. and all i would have to say about realism is tht jut keep to game realism no gay ghost recon shit. die in one shot.

well, marines should be able to climb on boxes and stuff, but they shouldn't jump any higher than a foot off the ground

This is a good video. Gives me hope for the game. And Sega has done pretty decently as of late, with Valkyria Chronicles, Yakuza 3 localization, and Bayonetta (well, the 360 version anyway) They can pick good studios.

Think I'll be getting this for either PC or PS3.

Im guessing by most of the comments you guys have not played AVP2 on the PC? AVP that is being released soon is basically a sequel. Not in the story but mechanics wise. They just spruced it up and balanced all classes. AVP2 on the PC was a wonderful game even with the problems of the alien mechanics. This is a direct sequel GAMEPLAY wise.

Give it a go and then see.

Remember everything is done to a budget and to a specific design. If you reckon it's crap, let's see you do better.

As for whoever said, "NERDS".... Maybe so, but they're making an absolute fortune from doing this and having a whole lot of fun!!

Personally, this game would make me actually go out and buy a console!!

If so, I mean that is kinda... bad. Games used that system before they managed to fix those issues - being unable to walk over the obstacle. I mean If I would see Marine jumping and shooting in Aliens movie I would turn off my TV. => My opinions only, and question. Everything except that looks sick.

Yes humans can jump, but how often they jump, And when did you see person jumping and shooting, that quite hard, try to shoot when in air (when you just jumped) I tried, its impossible, you would shot you leg or the rifle would hit your head xD). Well ok, but this looks kinda weird to me :( . Jump is ok, but shooting should be disabled or recoil shout go way up when jumping and shooting. Jumping+Shooting, jumping is ok. Dont you think that way guyz ?

i agree about the recoil should go way up though. just don't think fire and jump should be disabled when one is active

Marines can't jump whenever they want in reality. Soldier's gear can be quite heavy, you can't bunnyhop with 30 kilograms total on your back, head, vest and belt

Previous AVPs have had life cycles (eating your way out of the host as a chestburster!), but Rebellion is being very tight-lipped about the new version.

The game is awesome. Obviously you'll have to read the next issue of 360 Gamer (out 11 Nov), but the three characters are brilliantly designed and the multiplayer modes are just sick.
