  • My fingers hurt =(.

  • hey man just wondering if you could flip the videos upside down for us to have an easier view(sort of 1st person) cause im kinda slow and have a hard time doing the oppisite of u lol

  • that's incorrect watch trevor salloum's bongo tutorial on the martillo much better

I will practice and try hard to be better with your lesson.

    Thanks.

  • thanks. i'm learning. just started yesterday when i bought the instrument.

  • How about tuning those bongoes. B ecause they sound like the ones I got for X-mas when I was six years old.

  • Very good lesson...gracias por su video...

  • Definatley have to agree. A very good instructional video. If you watch it play it watch repeatedly, you will be amazed at your progress ,flexibility and style....much respect to my percussion comrades...peace out x

  • very good video and easy to follow!

there is a lot of great bongo players here that sound amazing!

no disrespect to any of the users, but not that many can explain or teach in a comprehensible way.

you are one of the few!

    best regards.

  • you are the best man thankss/

  • good Lesson ! Thank You !!

  • ALGUIEN PUEDE AGREGAR LA AFINACION DE LAS 5 CONGAS?

    Mil Gracias.

  • Timbales:

afinar el Macho en FA por encima del DO CENTRAL y la Hembra en DO por encima del DO CENTRAL. a un intervalo de quinta ascendente.

    Bongo:

  • kind of hard to follow but can u make a video on how to tune them cuz i dont want to wreck them

  • @zachdenboer idk how bad u can ruin them by tuning them but it is possible... just remember to loosen them when you are done otherwise you will end up with a split head

  • I found it hard to follow, take it slower

  • It's actually not hard to follow, I just started playing bongos and it is not that hard to learn this pattern. It'll just come to you after a while, you will start understanding the beats in no time.

  • Great starting rhythms. Thanks!

  • he is good with his description. i want to be able to learn more but it seems it is impossible to find more videos that are good like this one. what do you recomment?

  • Good lesson

  • Thanks for sharing, very usefull for learning, help me a lot

  • un detalle solo afine bien el bongo

  • lol eso es verda tiene que afinarlos

  • Si por que yo tengo unos igual y suenan muy bien afinados.

  • I'm can't get it right... Because I'm only 11! At least I got the fingering right... nice job anyways!

  • Just started out with the basics and your video is perfect. Thanks for taking time out to teach us!! Best bongo lessons on youtube!

  • exellent thanks 4 tha.

  • very good examples of fills, but in the martillo the first and third tones are closed, not open tones, so the bongo player should put pressure with the left thumb, making a nice sound like hammering, that's why it is called "martillo" that is the spanish word for "hammer".

  • You can do it either way. Traditionally it is played with the 1st and 3rd tones closed, however, I have heard it played this way in some records. Essentially it still sounds like a hammer, and the rhythmic value is the same.

  • good for basics

  • Barbaro... ahora ya tengoo pa practicar :)
