hi, i tried to run this game but the thing is i only see a background and weird textures on my party. may i know your pc specs and what system are you using. im using windows XP sp2 as the system and for my pc specs are core2duo and geforce 9600gt for the graphics. some friend of mine tell me that my pc specs are to high for playing this game, is it true?

I played this game in the year 2001 and 2002, and I loved it!!! I wished that there would be more role playing games like this one. The modern ones are not rpg's anymore, they are just action-games with rpg-elements. A real rpg needs a tactical fight system. When will we see a new good rpg on this earth??

Try this game with only a cleric as your whole party. You become insanely powerful very quickly and its tons of fun. Your voice is cute because you are playful. Maturity isn't for the internet anyway.

@Alatrye No it does not :( I tried it. Well it starts but the screen is yellow with nice long blue lines and a scary strange sound. damn it! :(

@Silencerof it does with dual core. but this game has a terrible issue with Radeon graphic cards. I can't play it for this reason, somehow the catalyst drivers conflict with it and all 3-D objects in-game become invisible

you should really try the hack,there are a few levels that are unbelievably difficult,the fight with prey;belish the naga is way hard if you are not equipped right...i devoted 8 months to this game and got about 3/4 through it then had to stop cause i was playing it 10 16 hours a day and started seeing it in my dreams all too often.the hack is easy and helps you on on single player immensely

lower your combat round speed to nothing and you wont have to scramble to get your stuff going...i prefer playing it with the hack i described earlier....others can send you their mp team roster files and you can play with other more massively built up characters....just gotta be nice when you ask them to go rooting in there directory, copying files and emailing them too you. try it youll get to all the upper levels within 2 days. its coded in Unicode so its hard to mess with the code.

i came up with a great hack for this game,,,,go online and score all the swag you can with your multilayer characters as much as you can hold...then shut down the game and root through its folders till you come across a file that shows your multilayer characters names i believe the folder says something like RSTR= =team roster.copy those files then swap them for your single player files.now you will start the game with lots of good stuff and high xp if you remember their names it will be easy.

@patr3ck If you're still having trouble - try disabling direct draw by running dxdiag from your start menu "run" command. That may only work for win XP. If you're on vista or higher, do a web search for ' "pool of radiance" occlusion rpgwatch ' and a thread with some fixes will show up.
