@Dinox242 Actually, they are common, as well as rope tornadoes. Rope tornadoes are the weak ones most of the time, because they arn't strong enough to lift alot of dirt and dust to create a full funnel.
what makes you think that? im sick of people on youtube who dont care what the video is they just have to put "FAKE" down. the fact you put it in caps doesnt exactly make it any better either
oh and you would never see a tornado in england thats big enough to excite someone. what 2006chrissy was soo true - ''my love of tornadoes doesnt amouint to driving about looking for a few crisp packets swirling around & the odd house slate coming off here & there''
ok.. :/ well we actually don't get them lol.. we had one in 2005 which was 2 hours away from me.. but it was propably only classed as an F1. But that was it. nothing else. We caught tail ends of hurricanes but not that much.
Just because you haven't seen one doesn't mean they don't occur in England. Most tornadoes anywhere are of EF0 or EF1 strength and so are unlikely to make big news. I live in Western Pennsylvania, no stranger to tornadoes but have only ever seen 1 funnel cloud.
but whenever there is a tornado or a sighting in england its always on the news theres only been like 2 ever in england. It's that rare. but you don't know coz you don't live in england, i do and have all my life. There's only ever been 2 tornadoes and one was years and years ago.
With a quick search I can find video of at least the UK tornadoes that have occurred in the last 2 or 3 years and most tornadoes that do occur are not caught on tape. Those 2 tornadoes that you are talking about I'm guessing the damage showed homes with entire stories missing etc?
i live in england, you don't.. i know that whenever there is a tornado it goes on the news, and they give weather warnings for them too. and no, only trees and tiles off roofs are damaged, nothing much else.
Yes, there are tornado warnings but they usually affect a relatively small area. Maybe a tornado would be rare within a ten mile radius of where you live, but across the entire island they might be core common. Again, NOAA lists Britain as an are of tornado activity.
no.. they hit birmingham which is a city which aint that small, well it is compared to USA. but ok yeah they maybe do, but we never get tornadoes, the last one was in 2005.
ok, well it has lol. well they predicted a storm but not a tornado but then a tornado formed.. there's a vid on here of a supposidly forming funnel cloud in st ives .. where i live.. but it isn't a funnel cloud them people just thought it was.
there has been times where i live when it was really windy and rainy and warm when there could have been a mini tornado but there wasn't.
Strong winds usually don't mean a tornado. A microburst would be more probable. True, tornadoes have happened in the Birmingham area, but most tornadoes would happen in another part of Britain as Birmingham is just a small part of it.
i remember that mini tornado that ripped up bristol. cant remember if it was bristol though might have been birmingham. hm lol. it was like 2 years ago, came near the time of that massive flood we had. living in england is weird, we get no disasters at all, but i bet its a disaster that kills us all in the end, like a meteor or something. disaster happens so sparsely here its almost like we enjoy it when it comes, so bring the rocks! ill be on devroa with a cider you beauty!!
i wanna be able 2 chace stormes n all that jazz but were i live ur lucky 2 get anytink bar grey cloudes!! looks sooo fun tho!! i'll go wit some one like lol!! XD

you need to get out more, i've seen six tornadoes in England. Read all comments on this vid.
BeautifulDeeva 3 years ago
what do you mean beautifuldeeva when you say "get out more" ??
i made a light-hearted comment about the rain thats all! no need to get tetchy.
ive looked at the other comments & found one that states we have a lot of "not many big ones"
my love of tornadoes doesnt amouint to driving about looking for a few crisp packets swirling around & the odd house slate coming off here & there,
its like trying to swim in a bath.....its just not big enough to bother with.

where the hell has there been 6 tornadoes in england??!! i live there, and i've never experienced one in my life!

England is a relatively large place. It'd be easy to miss one.

no, we don't get them in england.

Cities are geographically small areas. If you throw a dart at a map of Britain what are your chances of hitting Birmingham?
dragonridley 2 years ago
ok .. erm iunno i know where it is, i might hit it but i don't really wanna throw a dart and england lol.
chupachuplollipops 2 years ago
The idea is that if a tornado happens in England, Chances are it won't hit anywhere near Birmingham.

UK has the most tornadoes per unit area in the world. Just not many big ones like that. You can still see them though if you put in the effort.
