Every story in the Bible existed in other cultures before the Israelites even existed. For Adam and Eve orgin watch History Channel "Garden of Eden". For Genesis origin watch "Testament". For origins of soul, resurrection, etc watch Nat Geos "Egyptian Secrets of the Afterlife". For Bible origins watch History Channels "Who wrote the Bible". The Bible stories were copied from older already existing God stories. Hard for me to believe the stories when I can see where they came from.

@wachnathan Shaddy indeed. If you get a few minutes watch the History Channel's "Who Wrote the Bible".  Nobody knows who wrote the gospels. Mathew and Luke were wrote using Mark and "Source Q". Mark has a mark in Bibles at Mark 16:8, because it is a known add on years later. No big deal, it is just the eyewitness to the Bible. You can also watch "Israelite Origins", the Israelites first exist as a people in the 13th century. So they definately took their ideas from existing ideas.

Jesus is NOT the biological son of God, and the term Son of God has nothing to do with biological reference. Jesus was human. He was believed to reveal the nature not the natural God as a human, not the spiritual being turning into a physical being.

As for the idea that the Gospels being of the disciples, dare I suggest a lack of education here. The word "see" refers to eyewitness of signs or evidence, not of the physical. Refer conclusion of Mark.

I agree 100% with Lee Strobal's video. Although I am confident in the Bible's truth without this argument, it reaffirms my beliefs. The eyewitnesses of Jesus would have no motivation to lie about Jesus' death and resurrection because they would be persecuted. Why would they insist on a lie, knowing the consequences? They wouldn't. Therefor their words have credibility.

The Nativity of Jesus is downgraded by the Bible in Job 25:4 "How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?", indicating Jesus is also unclean and cannot be clean as in Job 14:4 "Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one." Apparently, the Bible puts down Jesus as unclean.

Job's three friends suspected that he must have done something awful in order ot deserve these things. Of course, he did not because he was a just man, but they didn't know this. That's what your quotes are about...they are about the doubts of Job's righteousness.

The evidence in his books is NOT concrete, it is all based upon hearsay, not a SINGLE primary source, all secondary, flimsy excuses for "evidence" there is nothing solid. The best/earliest historical writing Christians have for "evidence" is the forged passage of Josephus, and even it if isn't forged it's still worthless because he was NOT an eye witness, where did he get his info from? The gospels all contradict each other, the Epistles of Paul don't mention a single aspect of the gospel story.

As an attorney I thought Strobel was going to prove without a doubt that the bible/NT is accurate. Instead he just sited scriptures not written by eye witnesses but accepted as evidence. If you're watching Case for Christ you may be seeking. Suggest watching Religulous and googling "Horus" (Jesus and Horus lead parallel lives). Amazing! Also suggested reading: Three Magic Words by U.S. Anderson; You Are God, Get Over it by JonPeeoh. I hope Strobel does "The Case for Santa Clause" next! .

The gospel of mark was written C 65-70 More than 30 years after the death of Jesus.

(Life expectancy was about 20, 2000 years ago).

Mathew: c70-100 (40-70 years after the death of Jesus)

Luke: C 80-100

John :90-110 years.

Paul never met Jesus.

These books were Not written by eyewitnesses.

And just a historical note: the Crusaders did NOT wage the crusades to "forcibly convert." They were protecting Christians in the area against Muslim invaders who sought to oppress them.

want to know why he refers to the bible? because its 27 seperate documents that tell the life of Jesus. there are 35,000 valid documents that verify the new testament. the bible isn't just the "bible" its historical data. documents from the time of when Jesus lived. not one of those documents contradicts each other.
