Lets see how many holding penalties should've been called on that last play if ND had scored. ND gets all the calls. If it wasn't for the BS pass interference three plays earlier, this 2pt conversoin wouldn't have happened.
What is odd about Notre Dame's play selection is that the sent a back in motion to the opposite side of the direction of the play - resulting in one less blocker.
I see this done on occasion to fake the direction of the run, altho you're right that in this case it would have helped to keep him to the right lol Fortunately Allen has been a great back for us the last 2 years. Let's just hope it doesn't come to this again lol 07 was a nightmare.
My best friend played at ARMY so naturally I root for the Black Knights, But this is the one game a year I root for NAVY I ran out of my house and joined in a celebration with the old sailor that lives across the street and we drank all night! THANK YOU BOYS!
Worst loss in 25 years? Can you imagine being in the Navy at this point, and then being a part of the team that ended a losing streak that dated back to the 60's? What a game. Navy will be back again this year, even without Paul Johnson.
yeah i was there, fatass fucking weis needs some help. He definately should've put the kicker on the field late in the 4th instead of a hail mary attempt so then sharpley got sacked
If ever there was a year for Navy to end that streak, this past season was the one... man, did ND take it on the chin this year. Hopefully they'll be back next season
Congrats to Navy for beating Notre Dame! What a team effort! Navy just wouldn't quit and believed they were going to win the whole time. Paul Johnson is an all-time great coach, and there is no coach in College Football History who is a better example of doing "more with less" than Johnson. Amen?

Why didnt they kick a field goal if only down 2?
WeTrustChrist 11 months ago
@WeTrustChrist It was triple OT.

@WeTrustChrist
It was the third overtime. Navy had scored a touchdown and converted the required two-point conversion attempt. Notre Dame had to follow suit.

@WeTrustChrist
They were going for the two point conversion.

Notre Dame always uses the excuse they cannot accept the
marginal "student"/athlete for their football program.
I have to believe Navy has an even stricter admission policy than Notre Dame.

@hermanglimsher sadly thats not true haha

If Charlie Weis is not embarrassed he should be.
Navy shouldn't be on the same field with Notre Dame but they beat them twice in a row at Notre Dame.

Kudos to Navy!

Charlie wasn't calling the plays it was Mike Haywood. The kicker was a freshman.

Even better: How about being on a team that's won 2 out of the last 3, both on the road, at ND. Now that's fuckin fantastic.

Navy Academy doesn't focus on sports as much as other colleges so people who say Navy sucks, stfu. They're really good this year.
