I am right now building experience and knowledge in a elementary school. There is this autistic child in a 2nd grade class I'm writing my case study on, while the other students do their math work, he turned to look at me and with a straight face asked me (with the teacher right there too) "Why do we have to do this shit?" O_O To me he is the smartest in that class because he is questioning authority and stepping outside of the box.
He is truly the embodiment of freedom. It's ashamed the system doesn't allow us to teach this individuality anymore. The system prefers "good" children, children who do what they're told and destroy that individuality. There are a lot of adult sheeps in America because the system taught them since childhood to do what is told of them and to follow the crowd rather than question it. BTW while other children want to be doctors and firefighters the autistic child wants to be a monster truck driver.
According to the mandatory fiscal disclosure report that he filed with the Federal Election Commission in 2000, Ralph Nader then owned more than $3 million worth of stocks and mutual fund shares; his single largest holding was more than $1 million worth of stock in Cisco Systems, Inc. He also held more than $2 million in two money market funds.
Did I understand Dr.Paul correctly? Did he say that George Bush,Sr. in l988 attempted to manipulate the presidential debates? Notice also that he asked Ralph Nader if he remembered when this happened. You can bet your bottom dollar Ralph does. Ralph knows the huge problems this country faces and how to solve them. He has the intelligence, the integrity, and the courage to do the job.
Knowing how these electronic polls are I doubt they will have anyone else but the three turds (McCain, Obama and Nader). We had great candidates for this election but people still (and continue to) vote for shit. Like Lewis Black stated it just gets shittier and shittier every four years. I wish it weren't so. BTW you have some of the best posted comments I've ever read. Do you know KobyBrant because you two think much alike and I think you two would have fascinating discussions about this.
Ron Paul has no presidential perspective because of the 2 party system... he failed to turn the Republican party, so he want us to change the system, thats the only choice left to us.
Paul collected $30 million in campaign contributions, attracted anti-war votes, then suspended his campaign, and said his goal was to save the Republican Party.
He jiveassed on impeachment completely, after eagerly impeaching Clinton.
He is a born again creationist jiveass gynecologist.
He sold out the antiwar votes and his own Paul supporters.
He is a shill for the Neo-Cons.
The Paul people should vote Obama to destroy the Republican Party.
It's really not worth debating someone who doesn't know how to debate... You never challenge a single point, you just spout off ad hominem and straw man arguments. Enjoy your kool aid. Lets just see what kind of change he creates.
Obama voted for FISA and the Patriot act where Ron Paul did not. Obama also voted to give Bush retro active immunity for possible war crimes when the Supreme Court declared that Geneva convention applies to Guantanamo bay prisoners. Whats your defense? Obamas foreign policy matches McCains. You need to realize that both sides are working against you. I don't know why Ron Paul tabled impeachment but I assume he feels that congress authorized everything Bush did.
Oh, You mean Paul Craig "Father of Reaganomics" Roberts. The guy who helped Reagan drive up the poverty rate and supply side capitalism. What a good guy to have in your corner during the onset of one of the worst recessions since the great depression. It's obvious you really enjoy your kool aid, but in fact you've been duped like most other people. You'll figure it out one day. If you just study the the legislative branch for the last 2 years you'd quickly understand what I mean.
Uh no... The 110 congress is 235 Dems to 199 Reps. The senate is 50/50 with Bernie Sanders and Joe Lieberman as the indies. Bush has vetoed a total of 11 bills and passed 16 as of 07-30-08 with 15 bills still active. He vetoed 1 bill and passed 21 bills for the 109 congress. Bush has vetoed fewer bills than any president in recent history by ratio, but many presidents have vetoed fewer bills. Your democrat majority congress has abandoned you. The truth will set you free.
160+ signing statements containing at least 1,100 challenges to provisions of federal law... I agree with you though. Bush is evil! He is stealing our heritage and giving it to his crony friends to sell. My position is that Obama will do the same. I'm not a neoconservative (Dixiecrat) and I'm not a democrat (Socialist). I'm arguing that the two party system is a false choice. Bushes liberal use of signing statements, presidential directives and executive order should only prove that.
dingusmungus: just for giggles, let's share what a signing statement is so that we know what we're talking about. A Signing Statement is a written comment issued by a Pres when a bill is signed into law. Often such statements merely comment on the bill, saying it's a good law or meets some pressing need. Other more dangerous statements involve claims that parts of the law are unconstitutional and the Pres intends to ignore those parts or implement them only in ways he sees fit.
#2 Examples of signing statements in which Pres Bush indicates he will not follow the law are: bills banning use of U.S. troops against rebels in Colombia; bills requiring reports to Congress when money from regular appropriations is diverted to secret operations; two bills forbidding the use in military intelligence of materials not lawfully collected in violation of the Fourth Amendment;
#3 a post-Abu Ghraib bill mandating new regulations for military prisons in which military lawyers were permitted to advise commanders on the legality of certain kinds of treatment even if the Dept of Justice lawyers did not agree; bills requiring the retraining of prison guards in humane treatment under the Geneva Conventions, requiring background checks for civilian contractors in Iraq & banning contractors from performing
security, law enforcement, intelligence & criminal justice functions.
#4 The most prominent signing statements which conveyed refusals to carry out laws involve: Congressional requirements to report back to Congress on the use of Patriot Act authority to secretly search homes and seize private papers; the amendment forbidding any U.S. officials to use torture or cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment on prisoners (the President said in his statement that as Commander in Chief he could waive any such requirement if necessary to prevent terrorist attacks);
#5 a requirement that government scientists transmit their findings to Congress uncensored, along with a guarantee that whistleblower employees at the department of Energy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will not be punished for providing information to Congress about safety issues in the planned nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain
#6 Bush uses singing statements as line item vetoes. The U.S. Supreme Court, in 1998, held the line item veto unconstitutional, even if approved in a statute enacted by Congress. . . .the power to enact statutes may onlybe exercised in accord with a single finely wrought and exhaustively considered procedure. Our first President understood the text of the Presentment Clause as requiring that he either approve all the parts of a Bill, or reject it in toto.
And sadly our supreme court allowed these signing statements to be enacted. Clinton also used signing statements to do similar things and many Dems voted voted for bills that violate the constitution. I agree that misuse of signing statements, presidential directives and executive orders totally violates the checks and balances of the constitution. Also congress voted to give some of its powers to the federal reserve and the president which is another gross violation of the constitution.
dingusmungus: it's not a matter of the Court "allowing" anything. It's a Signing Statement. It's not a law. It's the Pres saying he will or won't enforce a law. It's the Pres thumbing his nose are our Constitution and refusing to uphold his oath of office to defend the Constitution of the United States. The Pres must defend the entire Constitution, and that includes the Presentment Clause and Article II, § 3,: the President shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.
I fully agree, with the execption that the judiciary is indeed responsible for judicial review of any legislation signed by the president. By not enforcing article 2 section 3 (and many many others) they have helped to remove checks and balances.
How can there be effective oversight if the Bush Admin believes it's above the law & invokes "executive privilege" every time it is challenged? The Admin has been stonewalling efforts to reign them in for years-- telling its people, among other things, not to respond to congressional subpoenas and to refuse to hand over evidence of wrongdoing.
I would not be surprised to hear one day that all the pertinent evidence has been illegally destroyed.
Nor would it surprise me... What does surprise me is that there has been no congressional investigation or impeachment proceedings. There are 235 democrats and 199 republicans in the house. Whats the hold up?
Personally, I believe that almost all of 434- Republicans and Democrats, alike- fear they might be prosecuted, too.
Even the simplest forms of negligence (like not reading the legislation you're signing into law in its entirety) are condemnable when we're talking about illegal wars, theft of tax payer's money, murder, torture and treason.
Wow, this is SO true! The people only agree with the two parties because they think that's where everyone else is pointing, where in reality their natural instinct is to go with someone who cares about the important issues!
Why don't we elect our presidents the same way we elect delegates? Multiple votes, wideling down the candidates until someone has a majority? This way we wouldn't have a president who only 16% of the population voted for!
People who demand free stuff, be it health care, education or whatever, from government are accomplices in driving the country towards corporate fascism.
Isn't it odd that leftist who rail against the government for their evil deeds abroad would demand that the populace surrender even more funds and freedoms to the SAME BODY so they can get their freebies. Then they act all surprised when Social Security gets raided to insolvency or get a Prescription Drug Bill written by Big Pharma.
I think the topic of this video is that the 2 party system doesn't represent anyone. So bringing up how bad the "lefties" kind of makes you look dense. IMO
There are Russian TU-160 nuclear capable bombers IN South America that can be deployed to Cuba....for refueling...enroute to the United States of America - it's cities, it's people, it's infastructure, crops, children, YOU !!!!!!!!
Did you laugh as you watched the Candid Camera clips? Did you think to yourself, "what a silly goof!" or "if it were me, I wouldn't have been duped!"
Well, that's probably only true because you've seen this footage. Humans are born mimics which is an important factor in the learning process. It's also a factor used in advertising to get you to think that you want or need something you don't. It's also a factor used in campaigns to get you to vote for whomever everyone else is voting for.
Pressured mimicry is one of the least of the powerful psychological tactics used on populations to control their behavior. The most powerful tactic is fear, and we've experienced a boatload of that over the past eight years. Just look at the images and messages we were bombarded with at the Republican National Convention. TERROR, WAR, DEATH, DANGER and more DANGER!
Currently, the Repubs are using the power of pressured mimicry to persuade voters to think that their doubts about McCain/Palin have been groundless because they're gaining popularity in the poles. If everyone else is no longer worried about them than perhaps you were wrong about them!
Pttttthat!
Were you poled? I wasn't. Nobody I know has ever been poled, either. They just want you to think that others have uncovered info (that you don't know about) which sets aside your valid concerns.
Knowledge is power. Knowing what the psychological tactics are that being used to manipulate and control your behavior is the first step in unhinging yourself from the power of persuasion.
Keep your eyes open. Do your homework. Don't be fooled.
Correction "demonstrates our "inability" and "tree's" is a common urban reference to 420, or bud or what ever you call that natural stuff that grows from the earth and if you burn it their are some EFFECTS...GO DAVIS FLEETWOOD the WHITEST MAC of all MAC's play on player...
This video clearly demonstrates our ability as a people to unite and do away with this SHAM of a government. Every common citizen from you tube on is arguing and calling each other some really vile names. The thing that makes me laugh is this, BOTH these candidates are against our interests and BOTH these candidates are owned. Why did Ron Paul have to drop out? He is the only candidate that is actually FOR the people, I haven't researched Nadar but he wants to legalize the Tree's which is good..
Hello? Where you paying attention? Obama has the exact same foreign policy as McCain. How does voting democrat or republican (again) change anything? You seem to be under the delusion that your team is the good guys, but the truth is both teams represent the same people and it isn't the American people.
By not rebutting any of my points and blindly clinging to your "wing" of politics you seem to be just as brainwashed as any right wing nut case. Defend Obama! Defend the 06 democratic take over of the legislative! Name one thing the legislative democrats have "changed" in the last 2 years? Franklin Roosevelt (super democrat) commanded the military and police to round up Japanese-American citizens and put them in camps. Both parties should be destroyed for their crimes against Americans.
You ARE a brainwashed idiot! You have replied to me twice, but not once argued a single point! If Bush and Cheney are criminals then what was FDR? If the democrats do nothing but good for this country why do they fund the war and approve anti-American legislation like FISA and patriot act? Barrack Obama's foreign policy was approved by O'REILLY!!! Pay more attention to your party dipshit. Soon you'll realize that they represent the same people as the republicans.
Mopsius, you are so pervasive here, and what you write is so blatantly untruthful, that I can safely say you are like a deadly virus attacking youtube debates.
obviously the government is not going to change their ways, it is up to the American people to change it themselves.
Great representation on the candid camera bit at the beginning of the video showing how easily a human can be manipulated into doing something that he knows is completely wrong but follows the lead of 75% of the people in the elevator.
It is a perfect example of how people can be turned into sheep.
Ron Paul...one of the VERY few speaking truth and speaking it honestly. I know personal liberty and personal responsibility doesn't fly well with a lot of the Davis Fleetwood crowd, but ya can't argue his logic...and he's about the only one who has any clue about economics...something else the other candidates don't like talking about...oh and foreign policy...you know...the stuff that actually matters to us as a nation.
OK, Mopsius, so from this I deduce that you are a statist leftist that likes big government and who hates Nader and McKinney, as well as (obviously now) Ron Paul.
If every single Congressman was scared shitless of NOT impeaching because the voters in his district were ready to kick him or her out if he did not impeach, Bush and Cheney would have been impeached in 2006.
Vote negative. Destroy the Republican Party. Vote Obama.
We have a major surpus of US dollars which have made our dollars worth less (inflation)
Crude Oil Trading at $100 today -- Down from $147.27 a barrel, set July 11
the Dollars that have been bought up by china, Russia and others are gaining strength -- we they cash them in we are really going to be flooded with US dollars = our Dollars will be worth shit
maybe longer then four years.... but when you back the dollar with only the power to manipulate Crude Oil and our WOrd you see the problem that comes when others switch to the Euro for the FED
a lot tough to fudge the numbers --
And Dr. Paul never calls for backing our dollar with ONly Gold and Silver -- Only as a part of it..
you are missing what the life line of the world economy is = crude oil
we control it and the FED manipulates it forget circulation in banks we have the lifeline of the world economy
What was the first thing we did after the invasion of Iraq? We got their ass back to trading Oil on Us dollars with our new Central bank we put in for them
We are economic hit man first -- if you go along the guns do not come out
What? The Euro is making way as IRAN, N. Korea and Venezuela are now trading all oil comedies in Euros -- Notice they are all "grave threats" -- Iraq switched to the Euro October 6th 2000 .. ask them what happened
Take a deep breath, Patriot4Liberty1776. Now every time you even think about money or the Euro or the peso or currecny--repeat to yourself a hundred times: the unit, one barrel of oil is determining the exchange rates of all world currencies.
The RNP and the DNP are nothing more than football teams... It really does not matter who wins or looses... the problem is they are playing silly games with our lives and the lives of people all around the world for their own greed and power.. Sad what we Americans will allow these days.
Ron Paul was not even allowed to talk at the RNC, Shame he is still a team player.
Lindsey Williams is saying Russia is Flooding the world market with Cheap crude Oil and that this will drive the price of crude oil down to around $50 which will provide incentive for world investors to DUMP their "dollar" assets thereby crashing our economy as people flood the market more and more with our dollars they have been buying up -- If our Dollars are worth more... people will to dump them to get paid and countries like China and Russia have been buying and holding them for this reason

Guided Democracy is already entrenched and is in action:
Follow the Leaders of the Pack!
But what if the leaders are wolves in sheepie clothing? They will lead the sheepies down the garden path to their slaughter.
Give the leaders unchecked powers and blanket freedom to "do what's necessary"!
If the leaders are wolves in sheepie clothing,it will just mean freedom is now surrendered to the wolves.
They know better!

O_O To me he is the smartest in that class because he is questioning authority and stepping outside of the box.

Ralph Nader is a coporate shill who has trouble mending his cuff links. "Socialist"? B ullshit.

Knowing how these electronic polls are I doubt they will have anyone else but the three turds (McCain, Obama and Nader). We had great candidates for this election but people still (and continue to) vote for shit. Like Lewis Black stated it just gets shittier and shittier every four years. I wish it weren't so. dingusmungus: how many signing statements is Bush responsible for?
HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
160+ signing statements containing at least 1,100 challenges to provisions of federal law... I agree with you though. Bush is evil! He is stealing our heritage and giving it to his crony friends to sell. My position is that Obama will do the same. I'm not a neoconservative (Dixiecrat) and I'm not a democrat (Socialist). I'm arguing that the two party system is a false choice. Bushes liberal use of signing statements, presidential directives and executive order should only prove that.
dingusmungus 3 years ago
dingusmungus: just for giggles, let's share what a signing statement is so that we know what we're talking about.
HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
#2 Examples of signing statements in which Pres Bush indicates he will not follow the law are: bills banning use of U.S. troops against rebels in Colombia; bills requiring reports to Congress when money from regular appropriations is diverted to secret operations; two bills forbidding the use in military intelligence of materials not lawfully collected in violation of the Fourth Amendment;
HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
#3 a post-Abu Ghraib bill mandating new regulations for military prisons in which military lawyers were permitted to advise commanders on the legality of certain kinds of treatment even if the Dept of Justice lawyers did not agree; bills requiring the retraining of prison guards in humane treatment under the Geneva Conventions, requiring background checks for civilian contractors in Iraq & banning contractors from performing
security, law enforcement, intelligence & criminal justice functions.
HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
#4 The most prominent signing statements which conveyed refusals to carry out laws involve: Congressional requirements to report back to Congress on the use of Patriot Act authority to secretly search homes and seize private papers; the amendment forbidding any U.S. officials to use torture or cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment on prisoners (the President said in his statement that as Commander in Chief he could waive any such requirement if necessary to prevent terrorist attacks);
HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
#5 a requirement that government scientists transmit their findings to Congress uncensored, along with a guarantee that whistleblower employees at the department of Energy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will not be punished for providing information to Congress about safety issues in the planned nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain
HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
#6 Bush uses singing statements as line item vetoes. The U.S. Supreme Court, in 1998, held the line item veto unconstitutional, even if approved in a statute enacted by Congress. . . .the power to enact statutes may onlybe exercised in accord with a single finely wrought and exhaustively considered procedure. Our first President understood the text of the Presentment Clause as requiring that he either approve all the parts of a Bill, or reject it in toto.
HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
And sadly our supreme court allowed these signing statements to be enacted. Clinton also used signing statements to do similar things and many Dems voted voted for bills that violate the constitution. I agree that misuse of signing statements, presidential directives and executive orders totally violates the checks and balances of the constitution. Also congress voted to give some of its powers to the federal reserve and the president which is another gross violation of the constitution.
dingusmungus 3 years ago
dingusmungus: it's not a matter of the Court "allowing" anything.
HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
I fully agree, with the execption that the judiciary is indeed responsible for judicial review of any legislation signed by the president. By not enforcing article 2 section 3 (and many many others) they have helped to remove checks and balances.
dingusmungus 3 years ago
How can there be effective oversight if the Bush Admin believes it's above the law & invokes "executive privilege" every time it is challenged? The Admin has been stonewalling efforts to reign them in for years-- telling its people, among other things, not to respond to congressional subpoenas and to refuse to hand over evidence of wrongdoing.
I would not be surprised to hear one day that all the pertinent evidence has been illegally destroyed.
HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
Nor would it surprise me... What does surprise me is that there has been no congressional investigation or impeachment proceedings. There are 235 democrats and 199 republicans in the house. Whats the hold up?
dingusmungus 3 years ago
Personally, I believe that almost all of 434- Republicans and Democrats, alike- fear they might be prosecuted, too.
Even the simplest forms of negligence (like not reading the legislation you're signing into law in its entirety) are condemnable when we're talking about illegal wars, theft of tax payer's money, murder, torture and treason.

Why don't we elect our presidents the same way we elect delegates? Multiple votes, wideling down the candidates until someone has a majority? This way we wouldn't have a president who only 16% of the population voted for!

HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
Pressured mimicry is one of the least of the powerful psychological tactics used on populations to control their behavior. The most powerful tactic is fear, and we've experienced a boatload of that over the past eight years. Just look at the images and messages we were bombarded with at the Republican National Convention. TERROR, WAR, DEATH, DANGER and more DANGER!
HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
Currently, the Repubs are using the power of pressured mimicry to persuade voters to think that their doubts about McCain/Palin have been groundless because they're gaining popularity in the poles. If everyone else is no longer worried about them than perhaps you were wrong about them!
Pttttthat!
Were you poled? I wasn't. Nobody I know has ever been poled, either. They just want you to think that others have uncovered info (that you don't know about) which sets aside your valid concerns.
HalcyonRain321 3 years ago
Knowledge is power. Knowing what the psychological tactics are that being used to manipulate and control your behavior is the first step in unhinging yourself from the power of persuasion.
Keep your eyes open. Do your homework. Don't be fooled.

Go Bob Barr.

Paul is a shil,, Nader is a shill.
Barr may not be a chill but he supported Iraq. McKinney mved for impeachment in 2006y and she is okay.
The Constitutional Party guy is a born again ex-Moral Majority fuckhead.
Voting for any of them and not for Obama is a waste of time.

^0% of US oil is imported. It comes from Canada, Mexico, and Venzuela, with some from Saudi Arabia.
Domestic US oil has to be nationalized to disattach it from the currency.
Will that save the currency.
No. but it will give breathing space.
