  • 0:55 she scares me

  • The flight attendant that demostrated the seat belt is CUTE! She can unfasten my belt ;-)

  • Can you bring your tv on the plane? a tv is HEAVY

  • @angelogabrielgeulin no you can't bring it here lol

  • I remember flying with Northwest when i was small, the audio was so peaceful! :) , but nevertheless, delta is awesome too :P

  • When the flight attendants want you to do as your told, they stick 3 words in front of whatever they say. For instance rather than, "we would ask that you must not smoke on board". The phrase becomes, "Federal Regulations Require that you must not smoke on board" - Americans just love any excuse to use the word FEDERAL! lol

  • @jhare211 now i know why there FBI

  • @70Jack90 they may be good but two big holes in their planes in less than a year?! Come on Southwest. Pick up the maintenance work!

  • I Remember Flying on it Before my family chose The Opposite: Southwest Airlines!

    Love Southwest!

  • God, I really want Northwest Airlines back. I grew up with Northwest Orient and Northwest airlines. Delta Airlines SUCKS! Long Live Northwest Airlines and will never be lost!

  • thanks for upload that i didn't fly this airline

  • Why didn't they film this on an actual plane? Every other one on YouTube takes place on a plane, if not that actual model of plane.

  • shared on great flight videos fb and flight videos twitter page

  • Long live NWA!

  • @Dangthom Gone but not forgotten.

  • It's cool how so many people just ignore these safety demonstrations Yet the passengers in the video are watching so intently! I think the Safety Demonstration is a cool part of the flight, I dont see the point in ignoring it and then when your asked where your nearest exit is and you then realise that you dont actually know! How do you Inflate your life vest? Dont know! I brought a safety card 2 school once, noone reads them on planes but everyone at school read it! Strange!

  • its so sad that northwest airlines

    went out of business

    it was my grampa's favorite

  • @TheNw1218 Yeah...my mom and I flew them only once months before they went out of business.

  • This is old and so am I. I miss hearing this at departure>

  • @747nwa now they use delta videos I think

  • Wow. This is a bit old

  • @kevinMD80 2003 or after. not that old.

  • Is this from 1998?

  • No, It Was Made After 2003 Because The New Designs Of NWA Came Out In 2003

  • That was just the opening image, anyone can change that. I was talking about the actual video.

  • I think jaybee is right. Look at the guys cellphone at 0:45. Cellphones didn't look like this in 1998.

  • I remember what the cell phones looked like back then. They weren't phones, they were BRICKS!

  • did you see the cell phone at 0:42

dont think they were that small in 98

  • love hearing 'its binding and contractual' Art...did he retire with the merger?

  • That is one boring demo. What is it, like 30 minutes? It put me to sleep.

    Nothing like blue man.

  • 懐かしい見ましたよこれ

  • it is not there anymore just delta now. p.s this vid was only for NGO-NRT/NRT-NGO

  • Is there a version with a Japanese dub?

  • haha cd player at 0:31

  • This video has been made in 2003.

  • how old is this

  • northwest airlines is great!!!!! my mom works for it. i fly to hawaii every year

  • Hey, can you do me a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge favor? Ask her what the name of the boarding music is. I would be hugely grateful! Thank You!

  • this must be the present logo of the nwa. but why is it their safety video looks vintage at all? do they have any update safety demos other than this? this video sucks! i'll never fly with nwa even in my dreams.

  • Hi Percino, ur right as NWA CEO is now the Delta CEO

  • OK dizzy boy, DELTA couldn't hold a candle to NWA evident by NW DOT rankings for the last decade.

Firstly, it's about TIME DL played catchup to NW far SUPERIOR international product that is now 7 years old.

This video is 10 years old. Shall we break out the HILLBILLY drawal of an old Dleta vid?

You are wrong about DL taking over, it's NW Sen.mang. running the show little boy.

Now run along and play with your toy planes.

  • Comment removed

  • Disney I am a Red tail employee and this video is numerous years old, not brand new like the Deltalina Video, We are a northern airline, professional, efficient and reserved. I do love my airline....and saying you are glad DL is taking over is hurtful.

  • Actually it's a merger, not a takeover. Several NW execs are running the show over there.

  • I wonder what the people would do exiting over a wing and not having rafts like the others do...

  • In the event of a water landing (where the rafts would be used) it is assumed that the aircraft is stable enough, and the situation calm enough that all passengers can be evacuated via the cabin doors and onto the slides. If this is not the case, passengers are to be instructed to remain on the wing, and once the rafts are detached from the aircraft, they are then maneuvered so that those passengers can climb on board (with a short swim if necessary). Hope that helps!

  • Ok, thanks

  • Comment removed

  • Right... At least people can understand the procedures in this video. At least it doesn't say "well there might be a red tab here, your seat cushion may be a flotation device but it also might not be." Stop sipping the DL koolaid. The new one sucks.

  • As long as the passenger has a way of telling (i.e. a sign saying "seat cushion may be used for flotation") and instructions in the lifejacket instructions, then the practice is 100% okay and the koolaid tastes great!

  • true!!!

  • The "new" Delta is trying to be "hip" and trying to be the next JetBlue or Virgin America. Delta is trying to be something that's its not and they're failing miserably at it. A good airline doesn't constantly re brand and change their livery every few years. If this was the Delta of 10 years ago I wouldn't mind the merger but the Delta of today is just awful and trying to be something its not.

  • ugh totally!!!! "we love to fly and it shows" was the BEST slogan delta ever had and they changed it... and then again! wtf do they change it in the first place???

  • This is a lot better than that new one with "Deltalina"

  • god this crappy

  • anyone else want to fly on this airline just because its NWA?

  • This safety video is used only on NW Interport 757's.

  • Interport is intra asia flying right? Im glad this safety video is still being used. They don't even use this one on the trans-atlantic 757s.

  • why not on the TATL 757's?

  • Because those have World Business Class seats which are different than the ones shown in this video. Also, the seat cushions on those aircraft may be used as flotation devices.

  • How did you get this video??

  • I hate this video. The A330 version is no better. They couldn't even bother to film it on a real plane.

  • I know, that one was worse than this one.

  • I listened to that stupid sax music for 19hrs stupid delay

  • Ajames1000...you are so full of crap...but I guess I'm a minority Canadian whom works for Nazi run Airline

  • on guam i experienced a belly landing, it was scary, the nose of the plane didnt have a wheel, we had to slaide down the emergency exit,, the flight was from narita to guam

  • does anyone know what movies/tv shows will be playing on northwest flights this month?

(my flights are los angeles to mineapolis st paul 3hrs,36 mins boeing 757-300 and mineapolis to amsterdam 8hrs,15 mins airbus a330?)

does anyone know what movies/tv shows will be playing on northwest flights this month?

  • it says on the website.

  • nope

  • I know they have to but its so dumb how they must tell you to fasten your seatbelt. my philosophy is "If you don't know how to fasten a seatbelt, your life is probably not worth saving." LMAO

  • Anyone notice the fake set-up? There are two FA's standing in the aisle... unless NWA has really wide aisles I doubt you can get 2 people standing in the aisle like that

  • do they play this at the begining of every flight?

  • It depends on the flight. The play this on most of the longer flights on bigger planes. I have seen this video on my L.A.-Hawaii., Hawaii-Minneapolis, and Detroit-London flights but on shorter flights such as my Detroit-Tampa flight they don't show it. I don't think they have tvs on smaller planes made for the shorter routes.

  • yea they do play this before every flight, except on my flight they played it twice....its not as bad as the airobics video after it tho lol

  • I love Northwest airlines and i like this video too !

  • it went out of busines

  • Where do you find these safety videos ?But you have the safety videos of the largest airlines.

  • funny that during that dreadful day in early 2000's the passengers used cell phones and the plane flew ok well something does not add up here.

  • The majority used air-phones, only a few used cells. And tbh I doubt whether anyone gave a fuck about mobile phone safety when their plane had been hijacked.

  • they say you carnt use phones because it may interveir with the aircraft they are lying its because it interfears with the antenerers on the ground and intervears with the phone network so if u dont like ur phone network u know what to do

  • atchualy the plane does contan MicroWave Electromagnetic Sensative divices.... on alot of planes this is closed of them the passanger area, but best to be safe.

  • yes but if there was any danger they would ban them and not let u bring them on bord at all wouldent they. its like that 1 in a million chance its like they say u carnt use mobiles at petrol stations as they say microwaves can cause a explosion or something but yet there has never known to be a case of that happening. but the main reason is that it interfers with the anteners on the ground.

  • main pint is dont use cell phones on plane

  • Great vid, where do people get this stuff from? e.g. safety demonstrations, great but think pretty hard to get hold of, did u work for NWA?

  • i should save this one to my computer and play it before I have to turn off my computer before my flight takes off. I really miss these videos. the flight attendants sometimes get the schpeel mixed up and wrong.

  • And they run through the script so quickly you cant understand them...

  • Quite honestly-NWA has the niceset safety vids in the US!

  • Yeah, I guess you are right.

  • Why is it the most recent paint job when they show the aircraft from above? Is this the current video?

  • I believe so.

  • Yes it is

  • its a little old fashioned.

  • it would be nice if nwa actually turned on their tvs

  • They are not going to do that anytime soon. They are REMOVING the TVS in the Economy cabins for domestic flights..

  • one word sums up NWA -----SCABAIR!!

  • You can get that announcement for Flight Simulator. (Not the video, though.)

  • Yeah, I actually have it and use it with FSPassengers. Pretty nice I'd say, although I hate the video.

  • Yes, it is pretty crappy. (video)

  • I would like them to do a little better. (on the video)

  • corri[put sa life jacket lol

  • not too good, but the music is good.

  • To bad they do not have tv entertainment on domestic flights anymore. They only have it on transcon flights.

  • actually, they have TV entertainment on all American Airlines flights, domestic & international.

  • A transcontinental I think refers to a plane flying from California to New York or something similar.

    International/intercontinental is different...

  • it's actually a modern safety video. you can tell by the updated "nwa" logo at the beginning.

  • it was so boring it felt like 15 mins.

  • Looks like it's from 1982 but the music sounds like it was from today.

  • Good video, but its so cheesy!! Thank you and enjoy your flight, the american accent dont help lol!!

  • SO EFFIN 80'S!!!

  • the way.... the voice is very cool..... especially the American airlines!!!!! Im not american ;-)

  • How do you get these

  • what kind of cabin interior is this?

    :p

  • this video are so bad I dont liked. But the music are exellen!!!!!!!!

  • This is actually new and the latest video for Northwest.

Last time I flew on Northwest, they actually showed similar video for A330 aircraft.

  • I HATE thses videos. What's really annoying are the ones on Trans-Pacific 747 flights. They have all the instructions in English and then a Japanese translation.

  • i agree with viking..these videos are annoying

  • LOL i love how the passengers are staring at the FAs...how often do they actually listen to what the flight attendants say?

  • I know. LOL I think its funny how all the FAs are forced to stand at the front of their section and look friendly/professional while these dumb videos are playing. I have the Airobics one even worse than this one!

  • I meant I 'HATE' the Airobics video. I'm always amused when I look around and some moron is actually rolling their head and doing the stupid exercises along with the video.

  • Been seeing this ever since I flew NW internationally for the first time in years! Seriously time for something fresher! The in-flight exercise video looks even more like a blast from the past as well!

  • I hope this isn't shown now! old old old!

  • la azafata es una mierda

  • Do you have the demo for NWA'S 747?

  • this is on par with American airlines.... haha

  • I love this music. Very relaxed!

  • Cheesy music and video! It looks like a bad erotic movie.

  • the music reminds me of something you'd hear in a mall or a department store. lol!

  • i think that is in 90's

  • As a NW Elite... How f'ing typical. Cheap and easy.

  • Worst Safety Video Ever - Delta's and United's don't even begin to compare, and it's a million light years behind Virgin Atlantic's.... My $0.02 worth!

  • When was this safety video made?

  • Nice. I havent flown NWA since 2000. I was only 9 at the time. I only remember the smoke detector

  • This video is produced for the 757-251 aircraft used from Japan to points in Asia. These aircraft are ETOPS, and this is reflected by the reference to the additional life raft on board. This video will also be used on new services beginning in the summer of 2007 between the U.S. and Europe, which will be flown with the ETOPS aircraft B757-251 fleet. FYI, these aircraft can be easily identified as they have the overwing exits and the red winglets.

  • All 757-200's have overwing exits.... There is no difference besides the winglets, but the winglets are being added to most of the 757-200's, even for domestic flying. And the 757-200's started US-Europe flights in early '07, not the summer

  • nwafan20, that's true about the winglets, but not about the overwing exits. only the B757-251 made from 96 to 02 have them. the models made from 85 to 88 have door exits only. and the 757-351 made 02-03 have both types.

  • CHEESY

  • Nice to see some quality videos finally. Check out my vids sometime if you like clips like this. Usually I'm posting at videos.lostfrog 'dot' com.

  • I think this is for use on the new international routes on the 757, in which the flight attendant clause that prohibits in flight entertainment domestically doesn't apply. So this would permit Northwest to use the TV's already built into the 757's (for the international routes only) and therefore allow for a video safety announcement

  • You're probably right, or this was in use before NW became a cheap a** airline and used entertainment on their flights, the plane I was on didn't have life vests, we were to use our bottom seat cushion in the even of a water landing.

  • That is the new Northwest logo, so I don't think it was old (the Flight Attendant Clause was back in the late '90's, the new logo was made in (2002?). Most airlines don't have life vests anymore, it saves on weight and costs.

  • Did they just throw the life vest part in their for the heck of it or was it so if they ever wanted to do an ETOPS or extended over water flight in the future they wouldn't have to change the video?

  • I believe it is for ETOPS and/or overseas flights. I'm not quite sure. It might be required for flights that go over bodies of water, or it could be for ETOPS so your guess is as good as mine.

  • "In the event of an emergency and a water landing should become necessary..." I'm pretty sure everyone aboard would be screwed if a plane was forced to land in the North Pacific, floating seat seat cushion or not.

  • awesome videos. please post more

  • Thanks for posting this, these planes are only used domestically and NWA has no domestic in flight entertainment. I was recently on one of these planes and the Flight Attendant's did the demo manually, quite exciting! Did anyone else feel like they were watching a game show when they watched this?

  • nice video
