The fact is that kids got drunk long before these drinks came on the market and tell me this if a teen can join the military and die for his country why in the hell can't he have a beer. How about we do something that makes sense and lower the age BACK to 18
@JakeEricson Lots of alcopops have more alcohol than their "real alcohol" malt liquor counterparts. And with strong tastes to boot. Way to make an uneducated generalization.
It all starts with the parents. Don't buy them for your kids, and they won't drink, simple as that. And this ad is incredible unbelievable. Some lightweight little girl is just gonna sit there and drink four of the by herself? Please..
Just because the drinks are tasty and carbonated doesn't mean that teenagers are helpless victims, or, even more absurd, that they're some sort of "gateway drug." Teenagers always have and always will want to get drunk, and they don't need alcohol companies to tell them that it's cool - the fact that it's ILLEGAL is what makes it a rebellious thing to do. The solution is to make it LESS taboo, as in Europe, so youth don't feel the need to go behind their parents' backs and get trashed.
@JesusFists there was a time when kids didnt drink. it was when people had morals and dignity. its usually happens when parents are ignorant of any rules of life. they want there kids to be free to do and believe what they want. they dont want there kids to have any faith in anything but what they can see. thats why were called the godless nation. we act on pure impulse like animals and anything that threatens it is called extremism.making the wise seem dumb and the deem seem wise is devil plan

no- don't blame the booze. blame the alcohol industry for targeting teens and manipulating advertisements so kids don't know what they're getting in to. alcopops are a bridge between soda and liquor. without the bridge we'd have fewer teens with drinking problems, resulting in fewer adults with drinking problems and less costs to society. industry responsibility is a good thing and the right thing, not wishful thinking.
I just railed a fat line of coke!!!

Reason being the fact the adults don't drink Alcopops. They're for children who can't handle REAL alcohol.
