The guy with the long beard(fake) is drummer Manny Elias. Is he supposed to be an Orthodox Jew? IMHO, he is one of the most underrated drummers of all time. He played a huge part in the success of the band. His half-time shuffle in "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" is classic!
Umm, not only black people like rap, and I know many black people, including a good friend of mine, who liked Tears for Fears. Please don't start racial bullshit.
I've just been trying to hear and write down the chords for you. I'm a keyboarder... :-) I can't guarantee that my chords are right :-), but I think it's: Prelude: C-C-D-D-C-C-D-D-C-C-D-D Verses: A-G-A-G-A-G-A-G A-G-A-G-A-G-A-G Refrain: G-E-G-E-G-E-F-F-A-G-A-G Ending: Same as prelude (C-C-D-D) till the end of the song Yours Exciter4
Tears for fear are turning out to be one of those timeless bands (it helps not to get to wound up in the fashon, which of course they did'nt) They have always been at the top of their game and were also succesful in the 90s. Fantastic band.
A great love song in that it sounds upbeat yet sad at the same time due to all the minor chord stuff. We got emo bands today and a new generation thinks it's invented mopey love songs, but nothing today is as evocative as this.
@tieemupgoodandtight1 That's Manny Elias you dickhead.
