Some doubt the claim that the stimulus created or saved millions of jobs. With 10-20% unemployment (depending on the measure used), 80-90% of the potential workforce had jobs. Because every one of the 80-90% not fired could count as a job saved, one could consider the Dems conservative in claiming only a few million.

The only way Obama wins is if the Republicans nominate someone plastic like flip-flopper Romney, shallow like Palin, or any religious right wing zealot (would easily scare away more than 50% of independents. Willisway62 made a god point: if Obama will be reelected in 2012 than by implementing his policies he can simply cancel 2016 elections, or make a USSR-style "election" with 98% of the popular vote for "Beloved Father of the Nation" president Barack Obama. Americans have to read more history and their own classics: starting from "Animal Farm" and "1984". If Americans will not wake up by 2012, Obama will make fiction's nightmare to the reality of our lives.

We are on the verge of national bankruptcy. Any major shock like the collapse of the euro and the Europeans banks which have lent money like crazy to Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Italy, and Spain... Any such big problem would trigger real trouble, much worse than the subprime crisis. We have much less credit left to bail out the problem. Capitalism without the corporate death penalty is socialism.

Big Government IS the problem. We must take control of it before it ruins us.

What they are not factoring in is our public education system and our colleges are in the process of creating ‘little liberals’ indoctrinating them in Liberal Ideology.

Every few generations or so we will have a Liberal election cycle because not enough people have been ‘mugged by reality’ yet. That is why we got Obama.

It’s hard to believe that a Presidential message of outright pessimism will resonate with the American voter. More likely, Obama will continue to blame Republicans for the economic malaise, then double down with intensified scare tactics to convince voters he is the better option. “Prosperity is just around the corner” combined with class warfare and various iterations of ‘pushing granny off the cliff’ will be his likely approach, along with personally demonizing his opponent. And it could work.

I doubt that Barack Obama will run for reelection. Doubts persist about his eligibility for the presidency because he has not resolved the birth certificate issue and cannot explain his Connecticut Social Security number. My guess is that he will bow out of reelection at the last minute or maybe even resign the presidency before his term expires. Hillary Clinton will take his place as the Democratic nominee.

We will likely see an economic collapse before the next elections affecting both the U.S. and Europe. Obama calls the increase in unemployment a bump in the road. He’ll quote economists (same ones that never saw the housing crisis), that things are getting better. Listen to the experts, he’ll say & people nod.

He tells people that he “invested” TRILLIONs of $ that Bush didn’t. Doesn’t matter that banksters got the money, he’ll say this is for our good. He’ll tell of changes – troops out of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya. Ha, ha.

Facts don't matter. Feelings do! That is how he will win.
