  • Yes, they should be doing that outside!

  • Heating that plastic is TOXIC!

  • @Modacolorist

Maybe so ... do you have any expertise about plastics toxicity?

  • great fumes....very healthy....

  • Good point moon,

And thanks for your comment on my video.

The fumes are horrible, and there are kids running around, and one pregnant beadmaker. I have got a grant to put in some extraction units, from One World Hull and Hungerford Rotary Club, and we should start in August. What's more, which was a bit more difficult, I have persuaded the beadmakers that the fumes are nasty.

Come and visit Ghana beadmakers with me if you can!

    Cheers

  • umm..... it clearly states it's recycled plastic.

  • the fire doesn't look that hot, but the sticks could be water soaked, This has really aroused my curiosity. I've seen finished beads that look like the ones here, and they are glass.

  • LOL It is not Glass!! Looks like taffy because it's probably sugar. For bottle glass to be that pliable the temperature would be in excess of 1400 deg F and would glowing a bright orange. If it was glass the wooden sticks they are using would be in flames.

  • Wow! Awesome. Like taffy.
