It reminds me of Kid606 and a lot of Max msp based musicians. It's not repulsive sounding to me but it is a very kitsch type of music that was mildly popular about 10 years ago so its heyday is a distant memory. It will always be hard to push music like this because it has so much concept put into it that doesnt follow biological rhythms and traditional music structures. I have collected an obscene amount of idm over the years so I have gotten pretty spoiled on expectations. Good luck :)

There is an idea, but... The convert from one idea towards another is not really serious. Just some kind of little work. Something amateur. For example between 1:20 ~ 1:30 there are some kind of pure synth and after that some pure noise and some other discrete part. As a big fan of the legendary Oval this is an average work that needs more attention from its creators and not from us.
