I didn't find out about Astro boy untile AFTER I watched the movie. Me wanting to know who created Astro boy, I decided to look into it and found that it was an anime and maga before it ever became a movie. I'm an anime fan so I decided to watch it and in that minute I fell in love with Astro boy anime( Both old and new.)! But even though I love Astro boy.... I still love Naruto as well. I also like Pokemon and Digimon. So of course I'm thankful for Osamu Tezuka. He's my hero and so is Astro.
Naruto is amazing. Compared to the shit on Cartoon Network nowadays. Naruto would be the holy grail of cartoons to little children, and to me. BRING TOONAMI BACK. If you want to help, got to Facebook and join our Petition to bring Toonami back. You will be great to us.
If you actualy watch more Naruto you will find that naruto is deeply engrossed in the Japanese culture and has many allusions to the Shinto religion and antiwar philosophy. Yes the first series can be a bit juvnile but it is still a good series and Shippuden is even better.

You gotta go to the Osamu Tezuka museum in Kyoto. Its awesome, they even have huge murals on the front of Kyoto station of all the most well known characters !

animation in japan may have started in 1917 but the kind of art work we think about as anime started in 1951. so you see anime the still started in 1951 and not in 1917.

willwhat makes a anime better the just a cartoon is 3 thing characters , art and story. the last thing you need to make a good anime is it has too do something new and make it self stand out. classic anime like trygun , hellsing and cowboy bebob all have all 4. I am not saying to begood a anime has to be classic . anime that do the old things good will are good. but the best anime are the ones that you get pulled like Nana,Ga-rei Zero. anime that make you feel for and caer about the characters.
