  • wow thats really really good!!

  • Thanks

  • Ya that does help oh and how how do u bend the aluminum and where do u get stirrups

  • @91520lastar No problem ^.^ I got special scissors to cut the aluminium and then use pliers or my hands to shape it. I believe you can buy stirrups from Rio Rondo? I use to buy stirrup charms for necklaces and bracelets for my stirrups as it was too pricey to buy from rio rondo(including shipping). I'm sure though you can also make it out of wire and all :)

  • Does it have a tree and what is it made out of?

  • @91520lastar Thanks for the comment! Yes, it does have a tree. It's also got sponge in it. The tree is made out of aluminum which I bought at a hardware store. The sponge/foam was added on the bottom to give it the two panels/cushions. Sponge was also supposed to go where the knee pads were, but I couldn't figure out how to works. The leather was bought from Utterly Horses. They said that is was *sheep skin* but I'm not exactly too sure. I hope that helped :)

  • Could you tell me where you get your leather? (like if it's a website) and also, would you mind doing a tutorial, with VIDEO and literally step-by-step sometime? My saddles look similar, but they still look amateur without the lacing and everything. I emphasized video because most people put a slide show like "put this on....now this.... and then this" and they don't go into detail. Plus, it's hard to follow with a slide show haha! Thanks in advance!

  • @ElegantUnicorn Hey there! Sorry for the late reply! I sadly can't show you the step-by-step video because I bought a tutorial in order to make this saddle. The booklet/ tutorial was made by keriokie.com. She has some AMAZING books for sale and I would definitely purchase them if you wish to make tack, especially saddles. They are very detailed, step-by-step, comes with templates and measurements for both traditional and classic scale. As for the leather, I bought it from Utterly Horses.

  • @Roxi4 That's fine! I'll check it out, thanks!

  • wow

  • how do you get it to be shaped so that it is not just flat !!!!!!!

  • @laurabonnie It has a metal/aluminium tree with sponge/foam ontop of it and on the bottom for the cushions/panels. It was then completely lined with Sheep-skin leather.

  • How do breyer get away with selling their saddles when people can make ones like that? AMAZING. It looks SO real love it, way better than breyers. LOL

  • I'd love to be able to make saddles like this!!! I am trying u can check it in one of my vids. Really love your saddle!!!!!

  • would you ever be selling a saddle soon? if so how much would one cost?

  • @horsesrock1023 hey there, thanks so much for your question :) Sadly I don't make tack anymore these days, especially since I can't find a good place nearby that sells the leather pieces that I need. But I'll definately get in contact if I do start making them again :) Each saddle will go for around $10 USD without shipping. Shipping from my country( New Zealand) to other countries are quite pricey, so I rather let most of the price be from shipping.

  • @Roxi4 okay thanks :)

  • Have you done a video on how to make these?

If not could you please? ;)

Btw, its really good. I brought one. but my guinea pig eat the girth and bit off a stirrup xD <3

  • That looks so realistic! You did a really good job making that it looks very nice

  • What did u make the tree out of?? and where did u get the patterns, and how dod u make the little flap things on the back??

  • wow this is amazing!

  • My jaw literally dropped as I watched this. How on earth did you manage to make such a perfect model saddle!? It's brilliant!

  • lol, a "pad" of cotton wool, thats 4 sure, XD. im just messin with ya. the saddle looks absoulutly AMAZING!!!!!

  • wtg wtg it is amazing!! cobaltisfav has know idea what she is talking about! XD it is not breyer its better than breyer! <3

  • you didnt make tht i hav the same one and it made by breyer !

  • @cobaltisfav What the heck :s I so did make that! If you look properly its a LOT different from breyer -.-

  • @cobaltisfav i can tell its home made because it dosent look like a model horse one it looks like a real one so shut up its realy good roxi

  • @cobaltisfav do you even know which ones are made by breyer? This is made by her and a ton better.

  • @cobaltisfav yeah she made that, the breyer one is less detailed and much thinner

  • @cobaltisfav What the hell?!!! she made that and its so obv. u obv dont knwo what a breyer is!!

  • @cobaltisfav That looks nothing like it's made by breyer...Breyers stuff looks cheap.

  • you made that?!!!

  • did you dye the leather or did you buy black i so where did you buy it from cause i cant decide if i want to buy from rio rondo...

  • @horsebird123 Hey there :) The leather I bought is from UtterlyHorses a long time ago. I haven't seen the sheep skin leather in stock for a really long time. I've also thought of buying from Rio Rondo, but i've found a few easier places for me to buy leather and lace from Australia instead. Rio Rondo is quite expensive, and since I live in NZ, it makes it harder. So buying kangaroo leather and sheep skin and etc from Aus is much easier :)
