Sasori was already using the secret black tech for almost 20 years after he changed his body into a puppet. Kankuro can never be more superior than Sasori because Sasori provides Kankuro his techniques. Without Sasori, Kankuro don't have any puppet to play with. Now that Sasori is dead, there would be no one who can supply new puppets. This would be the end of the puppet era.
