apergers is a form of autism so they are almost the same but aspies are just more intelligent and show talent on what they like doing in his case its probably singing i should kno i have aspergers

Asperger's is still autism, it's the high functioning end of what is refered to the 'autistic spectrum' and though individuals often are better able to deal with changes & can excel in certain areas they still find unpredictable experiences extremely hard. I don't think he was going for sympathy. I'd say that those comments refering to the 'sympathy vote' are from people who really have no understanding of autism or it's implications in a person's life. Fair play to the guy for his effort!
