Love the Tyron smith, d-murray, arkin, and dwayne harris picks. J. thomas can contribute in the nickel. The only one I dislike is the carter pick. Good nickel linebacker but doesnt attack the line of scrimmage. Overall, I think it was good draft. In FA we definitely need to target a safety (i.e huff, weddle, elam) and DE.

We are not in a rebuilding process. Tyron and Arkin are the future of the line, but Tyron WILL help us win next year. Carter will help with what Rob Ryan wants to do on defense and can play the nickel this year. Butch Davis ran a read a react defense, I'm sure Carter is more aggressive than you think. Our defense will be better with Rob Ryan and good safety play. Wade's obvious blitzes and Alan Ball's poor play cost us on defense.

I gave the draft a B. There were some solid steals on the 3rd day. Josh Thomas could be a real solid CB in 2-3 years. And I really like Shaun Chapas. He's got all the basic fundamentals of the position down and is likely to master the position as a blocking FB with some ball skills.

I read something that someone posted that made a lot of sense. Rob would let Jason draft all the unexperienced players that fit his offense, and during FA the main focus would be for defense. That makes sense, because the draft nearly filled every single offensive hole (and hopefully ST too). On defense they drafted carter, hopefully to solidify the nickel and provide quality depth. But once FA starts, i expect teh main focus to be for defense, and letting vets run rob ryans new D instead rooks

I understand shango, but a couple of teams that made it with a lot of rookies were Green Bay ( won the superbowl ) and Tampa Bay (10-6 Season). Green Bay was playing a rookie RT, and he played well in relief of the starter on IR. Which makes me belive that dallas can compete with him. As for the 2 new gaurds, I think the one selected in the 4th round could push the starting lineup, with Davis the RG old and slow now. So it is possible. Great video though.
